Riddle me this, would a cheese toastie have the same calorific content as if it were not toasted? Presumably it would given you're eating the exact same thing? Arguably you might lose a bit of the fat from the cheese in toasting it meaning the toastie is actually marginally less calorific?
Just doesn't seem right with me that such an upgrade on an otherwise basic cheese sandwich isn't in some way worse for you. Cheese toasties are a life hack innit.
Excellent work Clive, you've just turned the classic cheese toastie in to a health food snack. If you also include any globules of melted cheese that drip off the toastie and are lost forever the calorific savings of the toasties over the cheese sandwich could be significant. I'm tempted to eat a few now before do called 'scientists' prove you wrong

You also might burn a couple of extra calories stretching to get the Breville down
Saturday’s cob sliced to fit the toaster. Three types of cheese (proper Leicester, a Welsh cheddar and English cheddar - not mixed as that would be a criminal act), a light sprinkle of mixed herbs served with a dip of sweet chilli sauce and as an alternative for a couple of pieces, a little Hendersons Relish.

Boom!
I bought a Tefal toaster 6 months ago. Can't believe that a decent make don't make the slots big enough for most bread that I stick in it.
Oh sorry, cheese toastie. Perfect with tomato soup.
Ninja is the make of Air Fryer that Which ? gives their highest recommendation to, although a hundred and fifty quid for a contraption is steep compared to the fiver I paid for my toaster from Wilko years ago and the four quid unbranded sandwich toaster I got from Tescos the year before last. Mind you that sandwich toaster is turning out to be near impossible to clean.
add your choice of some tomato and/or onion and you've definitely got a healthy and delicious meal there. I like a spattering of Lee & Perrins in there too.
No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

If you haven't already done so, you need to read this. A fabulous piece of work that shows the true cost of the £5 toaster https://amzn.eu/d/4pkbv2L
It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

I read that years ago, well worth reading in terms of it's subject matter, but from what I recall actually a cracking read too.
I hope his book sales earned back the price of his toaster.

doesnt that depend on whether you believe the universe is "expanding" by 'growing' (eg it is being added to) or stretching (eg just be pulled out like an elastic band)
