Loudest cheer in the commons is for the cut in draught duty… on 15:15 - Nov 8 by The_Flashing_Smile

I don't want to have a go at you - but you were the one claiming in this thread that this would hit small farmers and attacked what I posted having seen a different narrative on the news.

DJR has provided excellent reports that back my view up, but you say you're too busy to read them. I appreciate people have busy lives... but since the post you mention (17.44 on the 4th) you've managed to make time for 24 other posts, many of them lengthy.

So you can see why I'd be a little miffed.

It's not the first time you've been accused of this either. It's not a good look to have time to post your views but then not have time to answer the evidence in the responses.

Bit harsh - if Ryorry says shes ill and dealing with various stresses, that ought to be the end of it.

Hope things get better for you mrs.

Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

"I don't want to have a go at you".

But then you do.

""It's not the first time you've been accused of this either."

Yeah, the other time was years ago when you similarly repoeatedly poked at me, cheered on by a pair of trolls who were subsequently banned, and a WUM who has since returned after banning. The bulk of the forum told you to s u.

"24 other posts". Most of which wre short & early on Weds. morniing while I was waiting for vet phone call. Not that I need to justify to you the timeine of my dog's or my own health problems.

Kindly just have some respect for the fact that unlike you apparently, other posters on here have lives outside the forum which means that they aren't constantly on here; nor are they obliged to respond to obsessives demanding, like small children to be responded to.

Now, polite version - just for once have some respect for other people's situations & leave me alone. Has taken me 15 mins to reply to this (problems with hands) when I should have been doing much more serious stuff.

Did you fully read my post? I would absolutely appreciate that (and I'm not some kind of monster) but this isn't the first time... and she's posted multiple times in multiple threads since then. And DJR's two articles aren't that long.

To be honest it's something that has miffed me for some time about TWTD (and social media) generally (not aimed at Ryorry). People post their (sometimes controversial) views on subjects, then when they're challenged they disappear. It's a sign of the times we live in. Facts and evidence aren't important. Just sling out what you believe and run away. Some of it will stick, job done.

I do genuinely hope Ryorry and the mutt get well.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I've no idea what you're talking about in that first section. I wasn't referring to myself - lots of people have said it, and not just years ago.

You've literally spent more time on your last two posts than would've taken to read and reply to both of DJR's articles.

But fine, I'll leave it there. I genuinely hope your problems ease and wish you no ill will at all, I just won't bother debating any issues with you in future.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

100%.

It would also help if people (not you) read what has *actually been said*, rather than choosing to skim & read only what they want to (I had read what you said as it happens, but as I said in my post of 17.44 on the 4th, "haven't got time to go into all this again in depth" - ie write/elaborate further in that or other posts re the entire very complex subject).

My life is chaotic with my own & dog's serious health issues atm, not to mention a whole heap of other problems, so I don't have time or energy to debate atm, let alone get into futile arguments (I don't mean with you, I know you'll understand).

“lots of people have said it, and not just years ago.”

Downright lie. Only you.

Have never run away from anything on here in my life.

Having to take time to defend myself against your lies and obsessiveness is an infuriating necessity, but takes a relatively small amount of time compared with the ten A4 equivalent sheets I’d need to respond properly to DJRs points. I only replied in the first place to explain and get rid of you.

And now my laptop keyboard has packed up.

I know 6 year olds with more maturity and understanding than you. Now bleep off, toddler.

Loudest cheer in the commons is for the cut in draught duty… on 00:02 - Jan 14 with 780 viewscatch74

Just to re-visit this thread. I’ve had the price changes today from my supplier - will
be pretty much the same industry-wide. The duty cut that was headlined as a penny of a pint has not been passed on (it was never a cut for pubs but for beer producers) - in fact all draught has gone up by 5p per pint. As rule of thumb to achieve break even, we have to x4 this increase - so expect a minimum 20p increase per pint from this.
I’ve actually just been in a meeting with my MP to address the budget and the previous one too. There were also a few other independent pub owners and a lay lady from the British Institute of Innkeeping. The lady from Bii had said thei costing of the budget, with increased business rates, minimum wage, NI will likely mean an average price rise of 35p per pint.
One of the owners there has 3 pubs with £4.5 million turnover, the budget will cost them £240000 a yea. This is going to get messy, especially if energy costs go up again.

Yeah but the working man won’t be affected, nothing to see here.

Hopefully Rachel from accounts will be gone soon.

My local town boozer In Colchester put Ghost Ship up to £5 a pint. But they have Ales that well are over that now.

They do a decent range of food that has of course gone up as well.

With wages, heating costs etc I do understand this though, but it’s getting so expensive, but it hasn’t stopped people going in.

Mate I dread to think what this Labour lot will do next,it’s almost as if the6 hate England and the English working people.

If they get rid of her who will be next in that job?

I will ask Isobel she knows her onions.

I’m not sure about onions, basic economics might have been a start!
