Boat crossings now out of control 07:56 - Nov 12 with 16038 viewsonceablue

In the last 6 days 30 boats have arrived carrying 1806 people of which 1712 are men

It is now worse than under the previous government

This raises 2 questions

What are the labour government doing to stop this as they were adamant they could sort this ?

Unless all these men are single would you leave your wife and kids alone in a country where apparently there is persecution, war and lots of horrible things happening?

It is a very reliable source.

You only have to look at the people getting off the boats to know that the majority are men.

So you've made it up

Are you greeting them as they come ashore?

Counting the men?

No but I know 1712 are men

Very good source within the system

Why does that surprise you? Young men are more likely to survive the dangerous journey, across oceans and countries. Those journeys are very dangerous, even for a fit young man. Of course, their aim will be to send money to their families and hopefully be reunited with them one day.

I counted 1712 well built, muscular, suavey looking, dripping wet men get off those boats.
Then suddenly I came over all peculiar and had to go home for a nap

So crossings are actually down significantly on last year, and enforced returns up significantly all only 4 months in to a Labour government.

What’s not to like ? Sounds like progress is being made. Hopefully arrangements being made with Macron to make further progress.

Are you sure?

Ah here is my stalker! Been a while.

As usual you choose a particular poster or word within a post to start an argument on for no apparent reason.

I won’t be taking advice or criticism from the poster with more contributions to banned threads thanks.

Put me on ignore if you don’t like my posts rather than trying to cause an arguement eh?

Don't use a person's sexual orientation as an insult or butt of a joke of you don't want to be pulled up on it then.

I've seen my gay 18 year old daughter on the end of homophobic insults during her school years too many times to let your comment go. You're just enabling the insults she received. Seualty isn't a joke or and shouldn't be used as an insult.

If you reply, then that will be an argument. If you just take on board my advice then it won't be.

I assume you have at least a reasonable knowledge and understanding of the weather conditions that are conducive to dingy crossings of the channel?

Do tell me what the weather has been like in terms of wind and sea conditions for the last 6 days?

I’ll tell you shall I, no wind, no rain and pretty calm conditions which would have been optimal weather…….. do try harder with the rhetoric here!

That wasn’t what I was doing at all and for reasons that some on this board will know via PMs that’s not going to be the case.

I’m done with you.

You are an argumentative antagonistic condescending poster who causes more division and arguements on here than any other poster. You always have a little story or slant to play a victim card for petty point scoring.

I will not engage further with the you so no doubt you’ll find a new target soon enough

No I would rather they came via the legal route as many people do.

We would be lost without the many mainly women and men that I have come via the legal route and work in the care sector and NHS.

It’s funny how no one has answered the 2nd question of mine about leaving your wife and kids I know I couldn’t

If you are referring to asylum seekers you should know there is no “legal route”

Precedent has been set!
When you are all lucky enough to be at Portman Road look around and that is the No of illegal boat people that have arrived since Labour have been in power! The majority of which have destroyed their documents so we have not got a clue who they are or where they come from!

Ipswich Town Centre on a Saturday resembles most third world countries, as do most towns.

Intriguing, can you clarify in what way Ipswich Town Centre resembles most 3rd world countries on a Saturday?
