Amazing how, in a random ballot, they've managed to pick pretty much the blandest audience possible. Surely there's got to be at least one person there who's keen to ask a proper probing question. |

I've been to a couple previously, and it's been organic - I was able to ask unvetted/unseen questions from the floor. That's not to say that it might not have changed since, though. [Post edited 19 Nov 2024 19:21]

Disappointed at the doubling down on the programme covers, and the usual "you should see my inbox" line. I can't imagine that he was being bombarded by emails from those who missed having generic photos of squad players on the cover. | |

To be fair I know people who are 60/70+ who are traditionalists who hate the Call Me Ted stuff, but I doubt those would be the people who would be emailing Mark Ashton. [Post edited 19 Nov 2024 19:26]

That's what annoys me really, the problem is there are a load of people that go there who want to go there to be there, rather than to ask questions.

What was it? Something like 150-200 tickets available for the event, yet they're scrabbling around trying to fill the hour.
I don't know how it could be managed better, but surely they could have filled the room five times over with people who actually wanted to ask questions. | |

I know they asked for questions on social media but it's quite easy to get a platform where people submit questions and other people then upvote/downvote them - that might be a good way of seeing what questions do want answered (at least from those online). | |

I think if you look at the answers to the Broadhead question and the one about the Call Me Ted covers you can get a flavour for how any tricky/probing question would be answered.
That's not to say they aren't worth asking but unless the club want to reveal something they won't [Post edited 19 Nov 2024 20:59]

Why not? It's a fans forum to ask questions which we don't already know the answers of. Unfortunately those who asked didn't get the memo.

I think it also dovetails in with the club's/Ashton's desire to try and stop the interesting/awkward questions from even being asked.
When he's dictating to Radio Suffolk what he will/won't be asked about during a fan phone-in, it only really leaves the Fans' Forum as the only place in which the awkward questions can be freely asked, even if they won't get a decent answer. | |
