So not content with trying to appointment RFJ Jr to healthcare, Trump now wants to appoint Dr Oz to work with him.
For those of you not aware, he's well known for pushing pseudoscience and alternative treatments. Some examples include:
- Homeopathy.
- Reiki and energy medicine.
- Use of hydroxychloroquine to treat covid (ineffective) whilst holding a large stake in two companies that make hydroxychloroquine.
- Faith healing.
- On his TV show an independent analysis showed that 15% of the claims he made were contradicted by the evidence and another 40% of them had no evidence to support them at all.
It's a very sad state of affairs that if Trump gets his picks then people like Dr Oz and RJF Jr are going to be in charge of guiding healthcare policy over the next few years.

Did you see the photos of Trump basically force feeding RFJ Jr a cold big mac on his plane? I give that one 3 months before one of them throws the toys out of the pram about the other one.
As for some of the other scumbags he's employed, Elon is already slightly sidelined by having to share his job with another fella, he'll definitely be out of job within a year after Trump gets fed up with Musky being sad that no-one laughs at his jokes like the blokes he pays to laugh at his jokes do.

I'm confusing homeopathy with herbal remedies...I thought they were all the same thing.
No, the idea behind homeopathy is that to cure something you take something that causes the symptoms of whatever the person has, dilute to the point that there may not be a single molecule of the original substance left and then that's your cure.
I guess it could fall under herbal remedies given the pills and things are essentially nothing. They won't do you any harm taking them but they also won't really do anything.

Some home made homeopathic remedies are fairly good at treating and preventing mild dehydrations, if that helps.

Yes I am suspicious that's a genuine tweet by Corbyn. I mean, he's a loon no doubt but he generally uses good grammar at least.
Quite why anyone would post such a thing in response to this thread is beyond me. Is it an attempt at whatabouttery in defence of Trump's plainly ridiculous choices?

Sounds like the system we have for the welfare budget.
No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

What? Oh apologies. I think you are referring to the tweet posted. Sorry, the old brain is a bit slow today!

What is unclear?
A thread rightly questioning Trumps absurd medical appointments. Replied to with a questionable quote from Corbyn. What on earth has corbyn to do with any of it?

It's known as a "Yeah but Corbyn..." move. When some loony choice is questioned, it's usually possible to post something Corbyn said or did as an example of the other side of the political spectrum being equally daft or dafter. He's the gift that just keeps giving really.
