You do wonder if McKenna could motivate and get the best out of him. But, on the other hand, do we have the time and spare energy (quite apart from the money) to devote to such a project in the middle of a season? Is it even possible in a reasonably short period, or at all?
Too much uncertainty and not sure we need another work-in-progress flair/skill forward when we haven't got a fully firing Jack Clarke yet. We're more in need of a Hirst/Delap-style strong centre forward. |  |

What makes this especially bold, on top of him being maybe United's highest paid player, is that he's played about as much footy for them this season as Delap has for us. He's started 11/12 games. In fantasy football I'd fancy him over Ali to impact the dying embers of a game positively, but is he more suited to playing down the middle or on the left these days? And would he be offering Leif the support we need out of possession? I'm open to a £50k p/w January loan move when Amorim sticks him in the bin squad lol. | | | |
