Anyone watch Arsenal v Man U last night 13:55 - Dec 5 with 1226 views | homer_123 | Talk about quality set pieces. The deliver of the dead ball was superb coupled with some excellent and varied movement before delivery - very very hard to defend but moreover, proving extremely good for goals. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c7084ejn1lxo

Call their bluff and stick 4 players on the halfway line.

I believe Jewell tried this for a while?

Anyone watch Arsenal v Man U last night on 14:47 - Dec 5 with 1067 views | OldFart71 | Would have thought the way to counteract what Arsenal were doing is to put a block of an equal amount to Arsenal against the far post preventing them from running towards goal. The goalkeeper should deal with anything swinging into the goalmouth. I would think that they would rethink their corner taking therefore it would mean adapting to their changes.

From what I've seen, majority of Keepers have been stood on their line, surely you would get your keeper to come out to the edge of the 6 yrd box, so any floating balls can be easily reclaimed. Would imagine Muric would have no issues with doing this.

Anyone watch Arsenal v Man U last night on 16:08 - Dec 5 with 918 views | StokieBlue | I was at the Emirates last night and whilst the movement was very impressive the defending from United was comedic. Every corner they all stood in allocated areas of the six yard box regardless of what the Arsenal players did. After the 5th time it didn't work you would assume the manager would tell them to try man to man if something. They could easily have conceded 4 from corners in just the second half. SB

We should actually do this.

Anyone watch Arsenal v Man U last night on 18:06 - Dec 5 with 769 views | mrfixit426 | I feel like our set pieces (offensive) have actually been poorer this season, despite employing a dedicated set piece coach. We're playing teams levels above now though, so difficult to measure objectively.

If you did this Saka would just bang it in the net at the far post direct from the corner.

But Man Utd's zonal marking was atrocious. so easy for Arsenal to get their "blocks" in to leave certain players free. LEts hope we learn something from that.

Anyone watch Arsenal v Man U last night on 09:57 - Dec 6 with 517 views | tractorboy1978 | The delivery is great but they also seem to have several players that know how to attack the ball properly. Sounds really basic but simply being big doesn't necessarily mean you are an attacking threat. Burgess is case in point for me, seems to have the defensive art of heading nailed but looks pretty hopeless in an attacking sense. Gabriel is an absolute beast, attacks the ball with such conviction. [Post edited 6 Dec 2024 9:58]
