350k a week is £8.4m for 6 months (ridiculous I may add)… but that isn’t a ridiculous sum if it kept us in the league.
Getting him to come play for us would be the hard part but if we were offered Rashford for 6 months under £10m we would be stupid to say no IMO. |

I don't see how someone with such passion to help children in poverty could have a bad attitude.
He does as you say look miserable though. Perhaps he dislikes where he's playing. He's had numerous managers. He's played in different positions and at points bombed out. He lost his england place too.
It's quite similar to Phillips in a way not directly comparable but there's a player there to work with.
I don't think it'll be town as I think we need singing in Jan who can hit the ground running. But maybe if we stay up it could be an option |  |

I shouldn't be surprised really.
He was nowhere near as effective on the wing at Hull, just because someone "can" play there it doesn't mean they should. He's also not really suited to the defensive side of the game our RW has to play.

Not quite the wing no. But as right sided forward which KM spoke of and which he did play well at before.
We did appear to be after broja. So you have to believe that was a plan of Kms as otherwise we would have had 3 strikers for 1 position, so I think it's sensible tbh to believe that's still a potential of KMs mindset. We will see what happens.
I also believe ferguson has played across the front line too so that may be an option if he were to come in. | |

I don't think it's attitude per se, but he has certainly lost that hunger, and at 27 with a bumper deal you wonder whether he's just lost a little bit of love for the game, especially given how Utd have been over the past few years.
Wonder if it's more complacency/ambivalent towards professional football. |  |

Absolutely smashing his season.
Could he make the step up, and push Ali out on loan?

What's this right back stuff about?
We have Axel, Ben Johnson and Harry. Whilst Axel has been above and beyond, both the other two have done alright as well. We aren't going to be signing prime Dani Alves ffs.
Striker is the obvious hole. I think logic tells us it will be ELL, we tend to get our targets in one window or the next. It's also just as a 3rd choice mind so Ali can go on loan.
Usual churn, maybe massimo out but we bring in another (maybe Broady out and another in) but I don't see the need for drastic investment in January. We can't have more gelling time for another 8 players.
Look at what KM has done with Cam, it doesn't need to be a potential talent thing, it's a system and cultural fit more than anything. |  | | |

Cummings is scoring goals against pub teams, is 18 years old in his first season. If he’s any good, yes one for the future, but it’s not going to help us this season. He wouldn’t come to this club at this stage of his career/age/love of Celtic anyway.
Ings? Thought he’d retired. Looking at his record he might as well have done. 32 and the goals have dried up. Cant imagine we’d pay significant wages to a has been that might be able to do a job. |  | | |

The plan was surely to get AAH sent out on loan

I think the main issue with this (and speaking as someone who thought Delap might play for us on right-wing) is that our right winger usually ends up acting as a right back in a back five (four if Leif has gone charging) when out of possession. I don't think that suits Delap. |  |

Hmm, disagree and I guess our marquee free agent signing will disagree.
I think the defence is nicely set. Yes, would could get upgrades obviously but what upgrade are you going to get on Ben Johnson at our level? Teams are struggling with full backs due to the lack of talent across the board. I would be shocked if you could name all 20 starting right backs in the PL (without cheating).
Also having more than 3 right backs is a bit overkill and both Axel and Clarke (and Townsend) can play CB if we need. Plenty of depth. It's further up the pitch but I don't see too many holes. Squad is very well balanced. | | | |

Indeed. But i did wonder if we might have then seen a move to a 3 midfield with one being able to move over when needed. I dunno but i do see your point. Just think broja. Hirst. Delap. That would have been quite a 3 for 1 position eventually of course. | |

Other alternatives; could Weghorst be an alternative as a 9 (loan) and do the Kieffer role from last year? Another tall player up front, cheaper option, could be Gustaf Nilsson at Club Brugge.

Weghorst is playing well for Ajax so I don't think that's viable. The pull of the PL is strong... but I don't think it's that strong. 100% the sort of player we'll get in that FWD role though. I don't think we've got the time to take a risk on even someone like Latte-Lath. We need a known commodity. |  | | |
