Wrote a month ago that Muric was a liability, we had no replacement for Tuanzebe, Morsy is slow and ponderous and bringing on Al Hamadi should not be happening at this level. I Got a billion down votes, but it looks like we are adapting to deal with those weak spots.

I'm not morsys biggest fan this season. However.
He is a very astute midfielder and is actually a solid prem option. Now I do think we need a better partner for cajuste and I think KM will know that but for where we are at the moment morsy and Phillips are a good option for rotation. For me it is key if we aren't bringing in another cm option that we do Indeed rotate them as morsy imo isn't imo showing the same level of performances 2 games in a row. |  |

fair dues shielding. But without the ball, turning and chasing - forget it. Watch when he lost the ball twice, high up, against Man Utd, then turned to run back - it was sad.
And the problem with shielding and then short passing is that it is slow and that he is not pinging it around enough or taking on his man unlike his counterpart or team-mate Cajuste.
He's probably more suited as a sub seeing a game out, not as a midfield dynamo. | | | |

I think it’s fair to say Morsy moves in quite a distinct way. He’s got a funny little shuffle when he turns and is always looking for the perfect position to make a pass exactly square on. It can make him look a bit ponderous at times, but whether he’s especially slow I don’t know. It works for him and he’s clearly not out of his depth. |  |
