I would say yes, but if Hurst is just about back, and has looked good, and Delap’s a nailed on starter, when would you play them? We’d need someone pretty special to come in and stake a claim. I’m not sure we’ve got the money for that.

I'm fully onboard that we need a striker. I'm really not convinced we can get one. It won't be through want of trying but so many injuries to strikers in lead up and during the window. West Ham need 2 in, Arsenal need one and there is a whole list of clubs needing a striker in the prem.

We've got delap. We got hirst. We do need another.
But worst worst case is signing a player who's better than AAH. Now that should NOT be an issue. If it is then the recruitment team have fked up.

I don’t have a clue on the loan rules, visas etc from European leagues. So a genuine ask, can it be done easy enough? If so, there must be a striker somewhere in Europe that could be loaned/purchased… that would be an upgrade on our current 3rd choice striker. | |

Obviously I've no idea who, but might we see a generic forward player who can play right across the front and cover a few positions. Would make more sense, and avoid the need to be a third superstar out and out striker to warm the bench or not even that potentially.
