Hang on, I thought Brighton played super attractive 09:19 - Jan 17 with 1531 views | thebooks | progressive football. Worse than fůcking Lincoln. At least Everton were well organised and actually just played well. Ugliest, dirtiest team I’ve seen at PR for a long time. Hope they’re relegated as soon as possible. Twåts.

Hang on, I thought Brighton played super attractive on 09:25 - Jan 17 with 1438 views | JakeITFC | Was surprised how direct they were, some nice interplay once they got it to the forwards but no real mucking about in getting it there. Semi-related but the refs have to do something about the time wasting - every corner, throw-in, free kick is just sucking all of the life out of the game, and when you add the rolling around on the floor it just becomes a joke. 7 minutes added in total yesterday and it could have been close to double that (I haven’t checked the exact timings but I think from when Brighton won the very dubious free kick for their second goal to when we kicked off again was around four minutes - the ball was in play for about 5 seconds).

It was a properly boring game wasn't it. Suspect it'll be us at some point, and we're obviously at a different stage in the journey, but they clearly came here with an approach that wasn't particularly easy on the eye.

My pet hate at the moment is players clutching their heads when they've been tackled (at their legs) just to stop the game. I think those stoppages should be an automatical 30 seconds/minute off the pitch regardless of if a trainer comes on.

Let the Physio on the pitch and carry on. Only stop play if the ball heads back to the area the player is down. Also, I agree said player should leave the pitch for a mandatory concussion test which should be completed after the player has been off the pitch for a minute or so. I don't like the idea of disadvantaging teams when there is a true head injury but players/teams are just taking the Mickey out of the current rules to break up play, and it's currently ruining the game more than it would by bringing in rules similar to this. If players were forced to do this then there would be less play-acting and you're more likely to know when there is a true head injury so the ref can act accordingly. Obviously, when it comes to changing any rules, if there is a clear bad head injury (bad clash of heads, player running into the goalpost etc.) then the game should be stopped post haste.

It does seem a thing now to take two minutes over every set piece though, some of those were Arsenal-like.

Effective but I found their play acting worse that we saw at Fulham. While the referee did not allow their trainer on, I found his approach to their behaviour weak, including their time wasting and niggly fouls. As for the challenge on Walton, having watched it a couple of times I think if the red card had been issued it would not have been over-turned by VAR, but was borderline I realise I type this with blue tinted glasses on, as I would probably be less concerned if we behaved like that to defend a 2 goal lead.
Hang on, I thought Brighton played super attractive on 10:02 - Jan 17 with 1135 views | Nutkins_Return | They are just a very good team. Not sure why we need to slag them off because we lost to be honest. They can adapt to opposition. We didn't set up to allow them to be super attractive. On another day against a more open opposition they'll look different etc. Much like ourselves they can change it up. They are just a level above us currently. Personally I know we lost but take heart from that being a game that could have gone either way. Story of our season but that's the prem. Until we get to a ruthless level/incrementally improve the squad etc it's small margins that cost us.

Hang on, I thought Brighton played super attractive on 10:11 - Jan 17 with 1088 views | Sarge | Much like ourselves last night I had no idea what their style was supposed to be. They had 100% possession for the first 15 mins but after that regressed into doing absolutely nothing except diving, whining, and generally being the most egregious bunch of limp wetties I’ve ever seen at PR.
Hang on, I thought Brighton played super attractive on 11:04 - Jan 17 with 922 views | BloomBlue | They haven't won for 8 games, he needed to change things around, it worked. Sometimes in football you have to accept your ideas won't work every time and you have to tweak things. Bit like Crystal Palace, manager understood that with all their injuries they couldn't play the all out attack he prefers and that getting a few points on the board playing a few boring defensive games would help them move away from the relegation zone.

Town had them on the ropes a bit just before half time, a goal then and it possibly would have been a comfortable home win.
