Is McKenna safe from the sack 16:21 - Jan 25 with 9546 viewsfloridaboy

Appreciate what he has achieved but is he out of his depth in the Premier league.

More changes again! Some players safe from being dropped!

Has he lost how to motivate the players!

He has spent a lot on players who don't seem to be able to produce the necessary end result!

IS HE SAFE FROM THE SACK!

Any other team in our current position would have changed the manager. Why is he deemed safe by the owners!!

For me, if we are relegated, he is the best choice to get us up again.

Ashton says yes and I said at start of season he's earnt the right to bring us back up if we go down unless we get thrashed every week.

I suspect he'll be off in the summer as he knows a big re-build will be needed to go again and gap from Championship to Prem getting bigger year on year.

Before the last two weeks I’d have thought this ridiculous. But looking at the recruitment, and the apparent lack of awareness of what is required (it’s not more lightweight and inexperienced side attacking players) I am unsure if he is ideally placed to give us the best chance of staying up this season

The manager who has taken the team from a mid-table League 1 side on the slide to fighting to stay in the Premier League, level on points with safety?

I am glad Mark Ashton is in charge of these decisions rather than some reactionary fan!

Silly question.
Anyway...if hes out of depth in the PL then he wont be out of his depth for much longer.

I’m unsure if he is hot enough property for an established Prem team to want him. Maybe he has enough in the bank from the last two years, maybe he doesn’t. Certainly this season will have done nothing to enhance his reputation. And he is paid an absolute fortune

Done nothing to enhance his reputation this season? Wow.

At the very least, his development of young players would be extremely desirable for a top level club.

Let alone the fact he's had the poorest tools to work with, in terms of no strength in depth, and we're not bottom of the league and have been very competitive in plenty of matches.

I prefer the idea he is not good enough for the top sides and we are stuck with him ... please.
