Is anyone a little concerned that we face the final 15 games with the squad we have? (Appreciate there is time to add a couple of others still - but worse case)

Because at present this squad sees us sitting 19th, with 3 wins to our name, and 21 goals scored, in 23 games.

I know ‘bla bla negative’ but that’s the hard truth of the current situation, isn’t it.

rather than a striker i think a GK and Central midfielder are more pressing areas.

Having your GK press is certainly a new tactical approach.

Ur more confident than me think we have been dismal for almost a month Fulham game I'm not very optimistic.

Fair enough....we all see things differently.

If we stay up, great. If we don't, hey ho.

I'm enjoying the ride, otherwise, what's the point?

....we've got more GKs than CFs in the squad disproves that theory!

...we are very likely to get relegated.

We have to assume we will get one in before Monday night, it's essentially incompetence from our recruitment team otherwise.

Keep the faith.

We previously relied on large amount of goals from midfield, but that’s pretty much dried up this season.

If we had centre forwards that were missing sitters (not him!) I’d agree. Delap’s done well to nab as many as he has, given he’s had to either create them himself or hope for a penalty.

Our problems lie squarely with the lack of creativity and goals from central and wide areas. Not entirely convinced Enciso and Philogene will solve that, but I guess KM will just have to conjure up something better than Wolves and Leicester can, from what he’s got.

Sadly, yes. I don’t think our central midfielders are really good enough for the Prem (except Cajuste), I am also concerned about relying on Delap and Hirst to remain fit, otherwise we resort to Szmodics upfront and we saw how that went against Newcastle.

Burns’ injury is also a blow because I think he offers us something different to Ben Johnson with his pace and ability to get in behind.

All that said, hopefully our new signings settle early and improve us.

Totally agree but staggered why a seasoned international still can't play 90 minutes.

I think we've made our way to a reasonable position. Summer business was decent enough.

I worry we are short in cm and cb and ultimately GK. We seem distracted with buying endless flair wide players and get beaten in central midfield every week with a Morsy miles out of his depth. Phillips is not up to it and we have inadequate centre backs.

I think realistically it's drop.

we haven't got a keeper to the standard of Delap either!

Nope. I think we’ve done well to build the squad we have. The fact we are not in the position Southampton find themselves is credit to the club.

Anyone that thought we could take the squad we were promoted with and do better than we have done was over optimistic. We have on the whole competed, been unlucky with some decisions and injuries.

Bring on those last 15 games.

We are just like a newly formed company with a talented staff. Unfortunately big corporations are more experienced and don't like teams like us trying to survive and getting stronger in their league with players like LD. If we get by with minimum points (small loses) we survive and grow year by year. The process is painful, but hopefully rewarding. Therefore our recruitment has to be tailored to Premier rules. Keep calm and enjoy our survival mission.

Two of the three games since Fulham have been to the best club in the world and the champions of the PL for the past four seasons. Arguably the best PL team of all time.

Looking at it another way, this squad (without the January additions) had got us one point and not much goal difference from the team in 17th place - i.e. still in touch. Having only four of our remaining 15 games left against the current top six teams (one of whom we beat).

We need to make hay between now and the middle of April, facing teams a lot of whom we have already taken points from.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Nah, not really.

We need a CF; one injury to Delap or Hirst, and our substitute on 70 minutes is, once more, AAH waddling around up front.

Nice bloke, sure, with the power of a nation behind him, but absolutely not Prem standard, nowhere near.

Ashton needs to fix up, sharpish. 24 hours, Mark.

EDIT - oh, turns out he's got til Monday. Fine, Wider point still stands.

Also AAH is out on loan but on the plus side the window doesn’t slam shut until sometime on Monday so a bit longer to agonise over this!

It's not really that I'm confident. I'm more just being pragmatic.i think we've made quality additions as best we can and it gives us a chance.

My honest assessment is that relegation is the most likely result but we're in a position to have a go.

We are as good as Leicester and wolves, I look at it now, like we are in a promotion battle, between 3 teams, and this year second place won’t do, if someone had said come the end of January you’d be a point off survival and in a 3 horse race , id have taken it, we’ve had injuries , we’ve had poor Decisions go against us, and we’ve had some poor games, we’ve had some good games. We just need to get behind the team, hope hirst stays fit, and cling on tight. We have the players imo and we definitely have the manager. COYFB’s !!
