Greatest non Capped Town XI on 12:22 - Jan 31 with 1331 views | SaffronWaldenBlues | Paul Cooper, Mauricio Taricco, Jamie Clapham, Jason Dozzell , Dalian Atkinson and Marcus Stewart all spring to mind. Alex Mathie might feel hard done by being left out of Scotland's Euro 96 squad given he scored 21 goals between the Premier League and Championship prior to the tournament.

I believe this was almost self-harm by the England set up at the time, just to ignore them, Stewart was firing and to not even get into the squad made a bit of a joke of the whole process. Clapham was playing a position we were in desperate need of, and someone who could create in that role which he could. They also did f'all with Kevin Phillips who like Stewart was upsetting the apple cart by doing the business for a club the England set up simply did not like. This is why we can't have nice things.

Greatest non Capped Town XI on 12:31 - Jan 31 with 1235 views | monty_radio | Much as we all love Marcus, and appreciating that most on here never saw him play, Ted Phillips (269 apps, 161 goals) while winning medals for winning all 3 top divisions and playing for us 11 years, has to be there. Clive Woods similarly, was often an unplayable in the best team we've ever had.

I had always assumed Ted Phillips had played for England, looking at it now, its mad that he didn't! He did represent the EFL South team though!
