They looked snookered, stay in the PL and they will get hit with PSR, if they drop then the EFL will be waiting in the wings.

Going to be some tough times by the looks, the shirt sponsorship situation is farcical, won't be long before they will be sponsorless, why would they want to continue with a company that has gone bust?

Messy times ahead.

Are you worried you might lose Farke to Chelsea if Maresca goes? I know that the fans turned on him last season but I’d imagine he’s pretty popular again now.

I reckon your fan comment won’t sink in for many people because of tribalism in general but also because of Leicester’s brushes with P&S rules. What’s happening to Leicester could happen to any club outside of the billionaire clubs of Man U, Man C, etc (and Man U are having a good go of blowing up). There are a lot of clubs spending a lot of money they can’t afford and/or sustain. I can’t see how things can carry on as they are (but they probably will).

Yes, and no. Leicester going down with the seventh highest wage bill in the league, selling two players for ~£120m and still making a loss of £87m is a bit more than unfortunate.

As you say, relegation remains a risk for all but a very small number of clubs, even Spurs and Man Utd would be more at risk if us and Leicester had managed a few more points.

That there is an enormous bubble in football has been obvious for 20 years and it's only got bigger since. Clearly the next step is owners trying to monetise matches in the same way as in the US where revenue per fan per match attended is so much higher than here. That only works if they get rid of season tickets.

From winning the Championship, and Premier League, playing in Europe, winning the FA Cup to potential oblivion. That is the price paid for challenging the "super clubs". There was a lot to like about Leicester, even in the 1990's they had some good teams and won the League Cup a few times. It's such a broken system where clubs can go from living the dream to disaster, I mean we had it on a small scale in the 2000's then there Pompey and Wigan in recent years, and Sunderland and Bolton another two.

Hopefully, we'll never be in that position again, but it's all so reckless and sad. Our historic football clubs are being gambled away by faceless millionaires who can walk away with very little accountability. I guess as crumby as Evans was, he at least had the decency to sell to people who appear to have their houses in order.

I do feel for the Leicester fans, even if they should have been docked points last season (and we should have been Champions as we played by all the rules to win our points)

Had their spending been successful, do you think they'd have spared a thought for all of the clubs that did things within the rules? I don't, so I don't have any sympathy for them - pushed even further by their (so far successful) attempts to evade punishment for obvious rule breaking.

I don't have sympathy for owners who behave like this, but the average Leicester supporter who turns up and pays his ticket to see his local side on matchday, rather than sit watching super clubs on TV, I have a lot of sympathy for when his club gets ruined by the idiots running it.
