She has to do it over there as people would laugh in her face over here.
Assume this is all for a comeback...I would say it's impossible but when Farage is the favourite to be the next PM I could see her worming her way into the Lords (because surely, SURELY, she wouldn't get elected as an MP?)
The really troubling thing is how much mainstream politics seems to be moving in this direction and how many people seem to be receptive to this kind of nonsense. Truss is a loon and has no credibility but she is part of a movement that has some traction, particularly with the orange sh!t-gibbon back in the White House.

People are feeling squeezed, both financially and socially. They want someone to blame. It won't actually help, but it points the finger in a convenient other direction.

“The same people are still making the decisions. It’s the deep state, it’s the unelected bureaucrats, it’s the judiciary."
She forgot to add big business and the exchanges. Odd that.
I wonder if holding multiple government positions over a period of more than 10 years, including being the bloody head of it!, would classify as being part of the deep state.
She's crackers. She's nowhere near smart enough to carry off this act.
I spent a bit of time in her vicinity and she was unnervingly vacant, like a malfunctioning NPC in a government simulator. When she tried to crack a joke, you wondered for a split second, whether she'd crashed. She had all the charm of a can of spam and that was before she went total whacko.

Where is Farage? Have any of our esteemed press corps asked him for thoughts on his support for his mate Vlad? Surely it's clear cut for the king of patriotism.

The Guardian reported this today: I won't bore you with what Trump* said.
Commenting on Nigel Farage’s response to Donald Trump calling President Zelenskyy a “dictator”, Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey said on X:
So Nigel Farage has chosen to explain away Trump’s outrageous remarks about President Zelensky instead of doing the right thing and condemning them. Deeply disappointing but not at all surprising.
He sounds like a spokesman for Trump. He certainly doesn’t speak for Britain.
EDIT: Farage not Trump

This is true but it's amazing how the people pointing the blame are from the class of people who are the real source of the problem.

Rory Stewart on the trussmeister
'After telling her that his father had just died, Truss ‘paused for a moment, nodded, and asked when the twenty-five-year environment plan would be ready.’

Same with the whole ‘anti-democratic’ and ‘unelected officials’ schtick. Er, Capitol insurrection anyone? Musk? House of Lords?
Unfortunately it works when targeted at the terminally dim.
Also no respect for the judiciary, the rule of law generally and international law and conventions including the ECHR, which only Russia and Belarus are not members.
