He is just so weak going forward and also can’t seem to defend yet McKenna must think he is so much better than we had in order to also give up some team cohesion by bringing him in. I just can’t wrap my head around it.

Him or Hutchinson really though isn’t it with Burns and Ogbene out?

I thought he did okay actually. Pressed well, kept tracking back. Nicked the ball a few times and posed some threat forward. He's not firing on all cylinders yet, but was fine today.

Are you joking????

Constantly lost the ball.

When he didn’t lose it he put his foot on it and killed and chance of a break. He’s way off being a premier league player I’m afraid.

As said elsewhere, there were signs of a dangerous understanding with Omari in there as well - bodes well for the future. Great workrate and won some good defensive tackles too.

Not sure what game you guys were watching.
I thought other than a few touches his performance today was very poor ,seemed disinterested and lazy in his play

He does seem very, very lightweight for this league. Not having been anywhere near the Premier League for so long I have not taken much interest in it and just how physical it is has come as a surprise to me. Philogene does not have that Premier League look, he is just so slight. Unfortunately it's not just a look he was outmuscled throughout today. He didnt look much better on the ball either, mostly he lost out when trying to take players on and when he didn't lose the ball, as often as not he just passed it back. It was a poor performance from him today, he's not Premier League ready yet.

Thought Clarke looked better today, and good for him to get another assist. I still can’t get my head around the Jayden signing. Wasn’t needed, hasn’t performed well sadly and didn’t seem to be an area we were short in. Him, Clarke, Hutch and Broady are all too similar to me. Skilful, but lightweight (although Broady has bulked up, and I would have never dropped him).

McKenna has done so much good work for us, but the recruitment this season has been really, really poor (Delap, Jens and O’Shea aside), and I think it will hurt us.

Im honestly flabbergasted with how poor he’s been. I’m also dumbfounded as to who thought £22m was acceptable for him.

Really, really hoping he comes good in the championship again. But, my god, he ain’t up to this league.

Thought he looked a lot more confident today and showed glimpses of what he can do, but his final decision making was lacking.

No, he really wasn’t fine today. He got himself in good positions a lot but wasted every single attacking opportunity.

In fairness, people were saying exactly this kind of comment about Jack Clarke after 5/6 games. He has subsequently tidied up his weaker aspects of the game and provided some important assists and a couple of goals.

Unfortunately, we are in the market that gets us promising talent, not established stars. Give the poor guy a chance...

I think he's a rare talent,
If he hangs around and his agent dosent try to flog him he will light up the championship and the premiership next time skill to burn

Was once early in the second half where he just watched the ball go out of play in the defensive corner and barely jogged to keep it in. Wound me up no end as he could have easily got there.

I watched him up close first half. He is neither lazy or disinterested. He is finding his way in a division light years better than the one beneath it. Philogene was not the only one losining the ball cheaply. All the forwards did it, but when they got the ball in the first half, they all looked capable of doing something and troubled the Spurs defence.

Our problem was further back. We lost the midfield and defensively we were weak defensively down the right - where Son had a field day.

I really don’t get the desire to put te boot into our players so quickly. I guess that’s just the way it is with our ‘support’.

Yep that was inexcusable. He walked to the ball and allowed a spurs player to run around him to claim it. That was very very odd.

Guys behind me were slagging off everything Clarke did (strangely.shut up for a bit after his assist) but said nothing about Philogene.

I thought Clarke, despite being weak (as usual) did OK, whereas Phologene, apart from a few moments, was not great.

The time in the second half, he did the hard bit, then flicked the ball to.the edge of the penalty area, where no ipswich player was and a spurs player was.

Could have squared it, could have shot, but he did that. Just doesn't seem confident and is lacking something.
