The “farmers” most affected by this government aren’t even real farmers, they’re land barons who wanted a tax dodge and have got caught out. They’re the ones driving up the price of land and trying to drag more people in to having pay.

Those buying bigger houses pay more stamp duty
Those buying big cars pay more road tax but don’t drive on any better roads than anyone else.

governments almost always get a kicking in by-elections and local elections, so wouldn't place much stock in that.
the polls i've seen have labour first with double the 4th placed party's percentage, and starmer as the most popular choice as pm except for ed davey.

Compared to Rachel Reeves Starmer is the most liked person on the planet. But I suppose she doesn't work independently. If the propaganda is to be believed not only will services and benefits be cut but taxes will rise and the personal allowance frozen for a further two years to 2030. What the Labour party has achieved in a matter of months surpasses even the 14 years of pain under the Tories.
