Bias aside he's a good goal scorer and does what he does well at that level.
Hopefully he and Sainz get picked off this summer, that's all they've got. Really hope the fixture list throws them up at PR quite early in the season and we give them a proper humping. |  | | |

I could see one of the newly promoted teams having a gamble on Sargent. If he can stay fit, he's someone who might be able to hold his own in the Prem. Really not sure about Sainz, he's scored a good number of goals but I don't know he's got enough about him to make the step up. Think he'd be better off going overseas. |  |

Of course there will be interest in Davis. Despite your description of him not shining, his chance creation stats for a full back stack up very well. A lot of the time when we are exposed defensively down that side it's not entirely down to Davis either, sometimes players haven't covered the space behind well enough when he's high up the pitch (which is how he's asked to play) and other times he's pulled across because the LCB isn't picking up their man. I think fans have gone overboard in criticising Davis, probably because we had high expectations, and no doubt there are areas of his game where he needs to improve. But he's still an excellent attacking full back who wasn't far off the England squad not so long ago so the idea that nobody will want him seems far fetched. | |

He is also MOTD’s go to when discussing our defensive weaknesses. Given they never talk for longer than 30 seconds about Town, all they can talk about is Davis being caught out of position. They def don’t have time to devote to his contributions at the other end. For them Ipswich is Delap, Philips and Davis - they don’t know anyone else in the team. | | | |

Statistically, i'd say its likely they'll sell both in the summer. It's quite unusual for a mid-table Championship team to hold to players who are pulling in those stats. If Borja Sainz finishes as top scorer, data suggestions he's highly likely to be off - over the last 10 years only 2 players who finished to scorer in the championship were still in the league the season after. One being our very own Daryl Murphy when he went to Newcastle and the other being Lewis Grabban moving from Villa to Forest.
Sargent has injury problems, but as another poster said, his goal to games ratio will be enough for teams to take a look at him. Potentially from aboard as well. Both Rowe and Gabriel Sara plucked from them went overseas (with varying degrees of success) and as non-UK talents they'll have plenty of interest.
All of which hopefully means they'll be extra weak next season when we get 15 years of revenge. A real shame we'll likely never got to see Delap in a derby match though, he would have loved it. |  | | |

I have a fear that Szmodics could be added to that list of players not here next season. That might seem far fetched on the face of it, but he has proven himself as a goal scorer/threat in the Premier League, which will be appealing to the promoted sides, & probably a couple of low finishers in the PL this season. He also works his socks off & has the versatility to play as a striker, or in any of the attacker roles across the 3 behind the striker.
Szmodics will be 30 next season, so he'll realise that time is running out for him to play more Premier League football matches, particularly with his unfortunate injury(s) this season.
I think we'll get offers, I think he'll be interested, & I think the manager/club will consider it, with regard to his welfare as well. We could well see a season long loan, with an option to buy, to a Premier League side; with certain protective clauses inserted into the deal regarding us coming straight back up, and/or his loan club being relegated. | | | |

I think he came knowing we may get relegated and stay. He hasn't done a huge amount in the PL (partly due to injury) to warrant a move to a PL club so expect him to stay and help us with promotion | | | |
