What band/concert you would travel back to see live?

My initial thought would the animals doing house of rising sun in Ed Sullivan or the Beatles in Hamburg

I'd liked to have seen Johnny Cash in his pomp. Perhaps one of the prison gigs but as long as I didn't have to do the time.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Keith Moon era Who. Always.
So many options, so couldn't really pick a specific gig.

I was at that one! I remember the mud slides more than anything. The weather was biblical.

My answer? Bowie at the Hammersmith Odeon probably.

Lucky enough to have seen Prince twice, although both times a little later than that (but still 80's ) at Wembley Arena; first gig was fantastic, second one was a little flat for some reason.

If I had a time machine, this would be my concert - lucky to have a great film of it!

I was there that year but had the hump the stone roses had pulled out last minute. Think I was in the rave field when pulp were playing.

Status Quo, 1976/77, Lewisham Odeon. Speakers floor to ceiling, packed, not a person sitting or sober, I thought the mouldy old ex-cinema was going to come down. Total mayhem.

Of the many I missed out on, I’d love to have seen Prince. A chum of mine who did see him reckoned it was the best gig he’d ever been too and he wasn’t even a Prince fan.

This performance by Ten Years After at Woodstock is still regarded by many as the highlight of the festival and one of the greatest live performances ever.

For me it would have to be the Ramones at CBGBs before they became well-known.

But I can still experience it second hand by looking at footage on You Tube from 1974.
