The Benn corner are not particularly angry with the verdict and i'm not really an expert so perhaps Eubank shaded it 2 rounds, but not 4 rounds for all judges. | |

I was a Eubank fan of old and I’m guessing you was Benn by your comments.
To be honest I thought it might be a draw until the final round and I thought after that Eubank edged it.
I don’t think it was a four round deficit but I don’t think Benn did enough to win it, and I don’t think he or his entourage did either. |  |

Definitely wasn't as wide as 4 rounds but the right winner no doubt, Eubank definitely won that.

I had it 115-113 Eubank.
Had £250 on eubank at 8/13 pre-fight (I just have said for years I thought he was a level above benn and would bet it if the price was right, which it was at 8/13 imo) and thought after 8/9 rounds eubank was slightly up. He definitely won the last two. Eubank was 1/7 after 7 rounds as most had him winning 4-7 and was in control before benn came back through to the 10th. That final Eubanks onslaught was incredible though I’d say.
Good scrap. Good entertainment. Do it again chaps. That was better than any Joshua fight we’ve had rammed down our throats for so many years. Maybe since his klitschko win. |  |

It's the way boxing is scored though, it only takes a couple of close rounds to be scored one way rather than the other and a close fight looks less close than it seemed. I had both winning 4 rounds each pretty clearly and then 4 rounds were close but I felt Eubank did enough in those rounds to edge it from Benn. I think Benn is the one whose stock rises from the fight though, Eubank is a big middleweight who has fought at super-middle a fair bit, whereas Benn is a welterweight. To have made it so close was a good effort from him. Just a shame he's a drugs cheat. |  |

That is it the scoring criteria, Johnny Nelson is usually the best measure for me and he said Eubank won but it was closer. Benn very wild and swung a lot and whilst he had some good moments there didn't seem to be much precision throw ten to land a good one type thing. The more controlled precision punching was from Chris which from a boxing viewpoint is why he won. Had he backed off a little in the last round when Benn was on the ropes to give himself space and put a good 3 shot combo together Benn would have been done for. | | | |

Eubank definitely won the fight. I had it 7-5 on rounds to Eubank, but can see why it could've been wider. Eubank landed cleaner, jabbed more and was generally the busier fighter. Definitely did a lot of good work on the inside too. Eubank's defence wasn't up to much, but he was always going to have a little too much for Benn IMO. | | | |
