I wonder if he would be registered as a player as it would be a solid addition.
You’d certainly think he would be. I’m convinced we’ll struggle to hold on to Greaves and O’Shea, so we will need replacements. I’m probably wrong though (I normally am).

No chance Greaves will go, we'll want profit on him and no way anyone would pay that much.

Wouldn’t be bothered at all to see Greaves depart but I fear he’s the one we’ll be stuck with.
Ideally, O’Shea, a couple of new recruits and an even semi-competent defensive coach would represent a massive step in the right direction.
Despite his age, the season before last he was the best CH at ManU. Which is mind boggling when you consider their spend, but he got game time (when not injured) and was far from the worst player on the pitch. In fact what ManU lacks is leaders and Evans most definitely is one.
Evans dropping down to EFL as a backup and primarily defensive coach learning from McK... actually the more I think about it I really like this.

It does make sense right! We have a super young back line, whatever iteration starts.

Read somewhere that once he’s left Man U it’ll be the first time since 74/5 that they’ve not had a player there that played under Ferguson.
I wonder which player from 74/75 was still at United when Ferguson took over. It was 1986 wasn't it. I remember it being on the main news when big Ron was sacked.

Arthur Albiston to answer my own question.

Tom Heaton probably pointing at some pre season games and claiming that he ‘played’ under him….
This post won't age well. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is in the running for our POTY next season.
Important to remember he’s only 24. He was one of the players getting rave reviews at the start of the season but injury didn’t help him. Plenty more to come from him for sure.

Before you answered your own question. I was curious and went to Wikipedia to check out Manchester United's squad at the time.
What caught my eye at the bottom of the page was that United sold Peter Barnes to City for 20 grand.
