I'd let Harry Clarke explore options. Hate to say it, as I know he is a true Ipswich lad but just a little erratic positionally for me and would be quite far behind the other two mentioned.

Taylor probably a squad player that would be needed at times. There is not room for all the 10s. If we keep Philogene, Omari, Clarke, SS, then Maybe Broadhead goes. Of course there is Ogbene and Burns to come back on the right as well. Burns signed two years I think last September? So I assume would stay and coming back from a nasty injury I am sure some rehab to go.
I personally think one of Jack Clarke or Omari is sold but not both.
Love all the players that got us to the PL but I do think we need to be a little cautious thinking they could re-create 2023/24. The momentum is gone, a few years older and we are in a different place now. Got to keep moving forwards as a Parachute club! [Post edited 5 Jun 20:42]

I think we’ll keep Clarke this season and am hopeful on Axel.
I imagine we’ll lose Davis, O’Shea, Johnson, Burgess and probably Broady. Omari not sure we will if £35m is the price, but if he makes a good impact for the u21s in the next few weeks, who knows. | | | |

Taylor I think McKenna likes, but as many of us seems to agree, he doesn't quite fit how we play, I think he does very well in a team more suited.
Al-Hamadi will be on loan, we'll be giving him another year to create some value.
O'Shea I think stays. No basis other than at what point do you think a relegation with WB, then with Burnley and then with Ipswich isn't a great deal of fun and perhaps working back up would be more beneficial long term than keep jumping ship rather than staying to bail out with everyone else.
Walton I understand, he either needs #1 shirt or goes and gets it elsewhere and is thoroughly deserving of it.
Humphrey is in the squad imo. He'll get minutes and can be relied on which will be important when we've got turnover in squad elsewhere, brings back a bit of continuity.
Broadhead I can understand wanting to leave unless Jack Clarke goes, then it's imperative we keep him. Would love those two on the left though throughout the campaign.

The comments on Harry Clarke surprise me, the way we played with him in the team meant we had a huge amount of space behind, we obviously valued attack more than defence and that perhaps made him look more exposed than he would ordinarily have been. He's 24, had some very serious injuries and a major (in footballing terms) operation. Passion, physical attributes are there, defenders tend to mature a little later too, so I wouldn't write him off yet at all. Plus there's the extra 5% being a blue brings to the party. His numbers in our champ season were good too.

If Tuanzebe goes is there an argument to give Johnson the #2 shirt and make that spot his own? He's not as good a 1 v 1 defender as Axel but you would think at Championship level he could be very strong, and capable of getting forward. He goes under the radar a bit but certainly had his moments this season. I'm thinking back to Leicester at home, Forest away in the Cup, he's talented and it might just be the opportunity he needs to stake his claim. Some of our better results coincided with him being in the team, albeit not always in the right back role. | | | |

How many players could we sell and get enough of an accounting profit to make it worthwhile? Someone like Clarke simply isn't worth selling. At best you could sell him for roughly what we paid. You would be looking at a £3m profit max by the time you take into account one year's amortisation.
Davis is the really obvious one. He would be virtually all profit as he will be sitting on our balance sheet at close to zero. [Post edited 6 Jun 9:54]

Bear in mind that RB slot was always the one we left open. With Leif bombing on Clarke/Tuanzebe are always drawn inside so it makes their positioning look poor at times.
Tuanzebe is a level above Clarke quite clearly so he can get away with it more, but that's a high bar to judge Clarke by. I think he'll be fine next season, won't play every game but I wouldn't be looking to get rid just yet.
Having said that I could see Johnson being useful there so that would leave us with three RBs. All three have iffy injury records, though. |  |

Part of me thinks that's why Woolfie is being edged out, due to player trading reasons rather than performance reasons.
