Blue Action Tifo’s 2025/26 17:13 - Jun 16 with 2028 views | Blue_Order | We only produced one North Stand display this season, “The Future Is Now”, against Liverpool on the opening day. Following mass complaints from supporters of their pre-match view being blocked by the banner that was unfurled from the top tier, the club wouldn’t permit any more tifos on that scale for the rest of the season. While we were disappointed and disheartened at our display being negatively affected by some fans, we take our share of blame for it. Our communications weren’t clear enough as to what the tifo would entail, and we didn’t take into consideration how much it meant to fans to see the players enter the pitch that day. In hindsight, we would have chosen a different style of display so’s not to take away that moment for supporters. After discussions with the club, we will be returning to organising displays in the North Stand next season. Whilst the displaying of any tifo means that some of the fans partaking will potentially have their pre-match view spoiled, going forward we will try and minimise this and plan accordingly. Our communications will also be more clear as to what will happen during any display. We have two tifos already planned - the first of which will be for the opening game at Portman Road next season. Our group funds have covered the costs for this display, and we will be starting work on it shortly. The second will be for the home derby, whenever that may be. We require some funding for that one, as to cover the full North Stand will cost us around £3,000. We will be releasing some new merch over the summer to help towards the cost, and have also set up a gofundme for help with donations. All of our displays are fully handmade and fan funded. Whilst more and more clubs and groups in England are taking the route of using outside agencies and printing firms to produce tifos for them, we strongly believe that these actions should instead be 100% fan led - funded, created and organised by Ipswich Town supporters. Our group members all pay towards the cost of tifo materials, but these costs are beyond us when it comes to the big displays, so we’re asking for support from the wider fanbase. Anything you can donate will be very much appreciated by the group, and will help towards what we hope will be a successful season for our football club. The more funds we can raise, the more large displays we can produce, including potential big games next spring. Thanks as always for your continued support. Nothing is possible without it. Or on second thoughts, maybe people would have preferred to not see a lot of last season! It seems a bit excessive to complain, but well done for taking that feedback positively and with understanding. I’ve chucked in a few quid. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next season.

It’s excellent what Blue Action do, it’s just a shame you can’t be moved to the middle of the North Lower. Keep up the great work.

Was laughing the other day thinking back to the booing of the pitch invasion at the Exeter game. Couple of decades in the s5itter, finally new owners and a brilliant manager to drag us up, go on a ridiculous run of form and then blow Exeter away to get promoted. Boooooooooooooooooo.

Really? If seeing players walking out is a novelty or important for someone they must live a charmed life. If the game was in play etc sure, but people thinking they aren’t part of the atmosphere, spectacle etc when it suits is typical of fans nowadays. I get the North is full of grizzly old dears and that, but if you stand there you shouldn’t be expecting a vicars tea party. It’s what kills the atmosphere for me. Either retire gracefully to another stand or put up with it I say. That’s why away days are so good when we are on it. Proper fan interaction when it works is brilliant.

Totally agree - I also think that for the sake of atmosphere I would put BA in the middle of the SBR Stand lower stand. Having BA where they are is like playing your best player out of position. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Wouldn’t have been hard for those that wanted to see to go down the front for a minute or two.

Could you imagine the Yellow Wall crying about blocked walkouts for the big games! Hopefully one day Blue Action can take their place behind the tifos they create.

It got even worse a few weeks later then people couldn’t even hold up a banner to support George Burley a few days after his cancer diagnosis was made public at Brighton.

Does anybody have any pics/videos of that particular spectacle? Thanks in advance.

Watching Ipswich walk out at home in the Premier League for the first time in 20 years? Yes, that is the absolute *definition* of a “novelty”. Maybe it’s not important to you, but it was to others. The whole stadium stands and applauds, so goals aside, that alone shows it’s one of the most focal points of the match. Why can’t the different sections of our fanbase show any empathy to the enjoyment of others? To suggest people shouldn’t be personally disappointed to be looking at the back of a sheet of plastic, rather than seeing THAT moment, just undermines any other legitimate arguments you may then make. To dismiss the views of others so, well, dismissively, does nothing to win support or change minds. To hear a Town fan dismissing how special/surreal that moment was is, frankly, quite weird. Mate, the team are walking on the pitch - they do it every week. This whole being happy to be in the Prem and it all being happy just to be there, acting like tourists etc was the one thing that made this season sh1te. Like I said, if you want that, don't sit in the North stand then moan.

This is the perfect example of a lack of empathy. I’m not directing this at you personally, but using it as a reference to the challenge with organising these well meant activities. I will absolutely donate to the gofundme campaign, and encourage more such activities. It mentions that lessons have been learnt - this is what is important. Better communications; maybe a slight adjustment in timing; people standing by the stand access stairs explaining what will happen; etc We’re all fans, so work together to make it a positive experience for everyone.

One of the many reasons I don't go to Glastonbury is the prospect of camping out for three days to see your favourite band only to be stuck behind a giant Wolves flag and someone sitting on their boyfriend's shoulders.

Things we’re not allowed to do: - Enjoy seeing the players walk out in the Premier League - Be happy to be in the Premier League - Buy tickets in the North Stand without permission - Have an opinion that differs to yours Was there anything else that the rest of us are doing wrong? “Mate, you don’t need to watch the team play, they do that every week.”
