I have mentioned a few times the study about the decrease in Islamopobia once Salah joined Liverpool. When you think of the average Reform voter I think it would be very powerful to have something like this in every major football city/town.
Liverpool - Salah, Van Dijk, Coleman, Beto
Manchester - Fernandes, Dalot, Haaland, Rodri
Could do historical ones as well with the likes of Toure, Cantona, Kompany, Yorke etc etc.
I would happily contribute to crowdfunding for something like this. Reform are a threat that need to be taken seriously. Sport might be one of the few effective strategies we have. |  |

True, I don't suppose we need *that* many musicians especially if you're not a wham fan but . . . if they are working in our NHS or other jobs that very few of the non-migrant UK population seem to want to do/are skilled to do then I would be glad to see them, especially to offset the half million emigrants we are seeing. excellent, we are discussing the criteria for admitting migrants. high skilled, working for the nhs a very definite yes. legitimate refugees under our international obligations a definite yes. low skilled, economically inactive, going into low paid low productivity work, it's a no from me. if we can set out the criteria for allowing migrants we then get a basis for determining numbers.
the thing about the op and the first few replies it that it again tries to frame the immigration debate as nice people who like foreigners and see the value in migrants v. nasty xenophobes who have an irrational dislike of anyone foreign. then the line goes the latter just need to be educated. in reality the debate isn't: migration yes or no, it's how many and what sort.
