Starmer should have withdrawn the bill in its current form, had a full rethink band then reintroduced it in amended form. The problem is that the reason for wanting to take action hasn’t gone away. Just the support for it that is missing.

Didn’t look too bad at the point Badenoc made reference to her miserableness, so don’t think she can be criticised for that. It seemed to be when Starmer made reference to her achievements that she started to well up. I suspect there was something else going on, but time will tell.
