Mick McCarthy has ruined every club he's ever been at, including us, and should be regarded as one of the worst managers in our history

The Cobbolds were terrible owners/administrators who should have invested more into the club when it was at its strongest.

Mick McCarthy was a fantastic manager who worked miracles with the meagre budget he had. With the resources afforded to McKenna, or even to Keane and Jewell, he would have taken us to the prem and we would be an established mid-table team a la Crystal Palace.

Any mis-spelling of Morsy's name is fine and dandy

I always want to put an e in his name.

Mark Ashton is a standard modern management type who got lucky by employing Kieran McKenna.

I worry that this might be true

Ruined isn't the right word at all, simply by definition.

But I would say I always found it odd that he wore the "after I leave clubs they tend to go down" line like a badge of honour.

He got results generally but he forgot football is in the entertainment business at times.

VAR and referees weren’t that biased against us last season. It became an excuse in the second half of the season at PR by a vocal minority whose vitriol and hysteria at times was frankly embarrassing, in the absence of something to support on the pitch and the realisation established PL teams were much better than us.

Sereni should have had his little rest, and then carried on between the Premiership sticks.

I'd rather we didn't sign Jens Cajuste this summer.

I know.

I think it should be banned in football stadiums in general, so why don't ITFC be trailblazers?

To be fair, historically there has been a voluntary enforced ban on singing in three of the four stands.

All ‘history’ of 1-28yrs vintage between warring posters on TWTD forum should be sorted out via enforced consumption of 1Kg of olives per person, streamed live, with a still photo of the end results in the toilet bowls of ‘participants’ also posted online, MM style.

Refusal to comply would incur the penalty of enforced wearing of a N*****h shirt in public for 7 consecutive days.

Town would have had a better chance staying up last season with hirst playing than delap.

I agree but I do think they could have played together and I really don’t understand why he never tried it, not like we had anything to lose.

Hirst as a 9 and Delap behind, they were perfect for each other.

I love the Cobbold Stand, and will be sad to see it get demolished.

Think it looks great (appreciate it's not comfortable to sit in) and it's been the back drop to all the squad photos for decades, with the famous 'Ipswich Town Football Club' proudly on display.

If only Paul Cook could have been our matchday manager last season. His enthusiasm in the dressing room and on the touchline might have gained us a few more points...obviously KM would have been watching from the stand as chief tactician/coach/director of football..

1) Massimo should have started the games that Taylor and Phillips did last year.

2) I also second that Douglas was nowhere near as bad as people make out. He was fantastic the year before for Brentford and broke up play well for us.

3) Morsy should have lost the captaincy when he refused to wear the rainbow arm band.

If they could somehow be magically free of injury and able to play 90 minutes, I reckon we could have scored more points last season if the starting 11 from the Exeter 6-0 game had played every game in the Premier League. The only one I would be worried about is Harry Clarke, and maybe Walton and Luongo would have been a bit shaky but overall I think the team spirit and familiarity with the system and each other would have been worth over 22 points.

However, they would still have been relegated and then there’s nothing to build on from there.

They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!

John Lyall took the club for a ride with his ludicrous 'move upstairs' and should have been sacked far earlier than he was.

David Linighan was a really poor footballer.
