They didn't have a clue about Gamechanger. I got the information from an ex Derby County first team coach who runs a data analytics company and knows MA. Got a very dismissive email from them at the time. Phil was decent about it though. I believe the EADT purposely don't report deals until they are formalities, which isn't neccessarily a bad thing. They have a positive relationship with the club and it's in their interest to maintain it.
Bit of a strange bunch to me, although Watson is an intelligent journalist. They seem to do news stories on reports they know nothing about in the first place, so are they just not well sourced and then get told something by the club when it’s imminent?

They are probably well connected enough to know deals that are going on, but MA was pretty adament from the get go that the local press had to work with the club in not scuppering any potential deals, espiecally those in formative stages. As local journalists go, they are decent. Alex Jones has a good wider knowledge of football and Stuart Watson has seen it all in terms of ITFC. If we're talking local pundits, Brenner Woolley is the one that surprises me. He most definately has the talent as a commentator to go mainstream.

Am told watched and no more, no approach. Suspect an agent is overplaying that. Think it would be a big surprise if we looked at a player from that league to come into the Championship.
Could easily be agent drumming it up unfortunately. Connected journalist out there for sure though.
Does sound like an agent. Perhaps one claiming to be acting on Town's behalf trying to negotiate a fee and then coming to us to try to get the deal done. Have heard of similar situations in the past.

In this case I’d be extremely happy if it worked!

Same guy here insisting that this is well underway and Toluca already looking for replacements.
Clicked out onto Youtube, captions, then auto-translate to English. The Youtuber is also clearly stating its progressing. I like the comments underneath too, they talk about the strength of the English second division being as good as many leagues in Europe.
And Ruiz looks a cross between Massimo Luongo and Liam Delap.
