Funnily enough, I was just thinking that an celeb to promote something akin to Live Aid is exactly what we need. I have suggested before things that we can all do, but it’s unlikely to have an impact unless millions get involved. It needs a celeb organised event to get people engaged. The politicians would find it harder to fob people off as well.

When we've had Lineker steam rolled out of his job for doing the very same (and then having the UN & then our own government back up his views) I'm not 100% sure where the next big voice comes from.

Even as someone who generally sits on the Israel side of the fence, I am appalled at this. Humanitarian aid needs to be allowed in. Israel aren't doing their cause any favours by letting people starve. |  |

It's not war, it's the killing of 60000+ people, most of whom are civilians with no method of defending themselves. Further to that it's the ongoing destruction of an entire state and it's populace.
