I ran the London marathon in my 75th year. 11:03 - Jul 24 with 994 views | MK1 | I am sure Mr. Young can muster a game a week for us. He doesn't have to play mid week, unless he is fit enough. (which I think he is) Those who are doubting this signing should just look at how the lad played last season. 32 games in the PL. Everton were happy to offer another year, yet for some reason, some on here see it as a negative. He brings a lot more than just experience with him. I think they will all change their minds once they see him play.

I ran the London marathon in my 75th year. on 13:34 - Jul 24 with 681 views | dirtyboy | Fair play on the marathon. I think people tend to write off footballers too early still based on how they used to live in the Merson era lol I look at people like Mayweather who 'lived the life', Cristiano Ronaldo, another, Nic Santos a swimmer who bagged a world record in the 50 fly at 38 and won a world title at 42 before retiring. If you look after yourself and get a little luck with injuries, you can perform at the highest level a lot longer than people think and we're still only just really seeing what new methods are bringing to the table.

Very flat luckily. I first ran it in the early 80s. Then again in the 90s and so on. I won't be trying it again in the 30s though. Last effort took nearly 6 hours.

It is though there are some horrid silly inclines from underpasses on the way back home from Canary Wharf. Done many marathons, but London is the best. Last one I was trying to get under 4 hours - was bang on until I bumped into a running colleague at mile 17 who was really struggling so said I would help - you know the thing - run to this lamppost the n run a bit and so on....did that all the way back and got back in 4:13. Found out later, the reason he was struggling was cos he got pissed in Canary Wharf on the way round- I wasn't impressed

Seems incredible doesn't it, the irony. Though tbh I'd prefer to go like that, one big smack from a car at 114, than some incapacitating illness.

Absolute classic. They were very nice. My first car was a mark 2, which wasn’t anywhere near as good to look at and sadly wasn’t one of the souped up ones. A guy at work who I played footie with had a couple of RS2000s. I’d never been down the A12 so fast (until he got an M5). I prefer the rounded look of the MK1 though.
