Look at the larger picture 27 in a 150 games. Cheap and nasty like selling your rolex for 50 grand and getting a watch of a market stall.
Not sure why you are so down on him. Goal scoring is, obviously, a key aspect of the striker role for us but if its not clear to fans by now, it never will be, KM wants a more modern, rounded striker.
Everything from setting the press, defending high up and winning turnovers. To hold up play, bringing players into the game. To holding the ball up, being able to relieve pressure on the rest of the team.
Yes, scoring is important but we need a lot more from the striker given the way we play.
Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...
Interesting. Would be a pretty punchy move to muscle Valencia out. I don't know enough about him to know whether he's a good fit or not but seems to have decent pedigree and a lot of football under his belt for a 22 year old.

Plus, from the highlights, at appears he is good at poaching on any loose balls in the box and finding a way to put it in the net. Something that AAH has not mastered yet as highlighted in the friendly against Charlton.

Heard positive noises? I know Valencia have to match the financials with Como but would think his preference would be to go and play back in Spain in La Liga.

Yes. And he would probably like that but, even allowing for the fact they've taken a couple of OK fees this summer, I would be pretty confident we can outspend Valencia and take that decision out of anyone's hands. Let's see.
I'll give you Ahadme. But that was a panic signing.
AAH had an excellent season with Wimbledon and would have probably ended up at another Championship club.
Al Hamidi also came in and scored 4 goals in 281 minutes for us and put in some useful shifts as we closed out automatic promotion. The narrative from some that he's been a bad signing because we've quickly outgrown him is very odd. If we sell this summer, I imagine it'll be for a profit, but I'd be pretty content to have him as third choice. I suspect he'd be less happy with that though.
Funnily enough, one of the Como men keeping Ivan out of the team was suggested to me yesterday (by a friend with no relevant contacts) - Tasos Douvikas. Ivan joined in the same window, last winter, and hasn't received a kick yet which seems odd (has made the bench every game from what I can tell), but then Como are a mid-table outfit in a much better league than the Championship. And if he impressed enough in Spain Div 2 to be a Valencia target today, despite no appearances for his new club..

It is an odd one. Looking at local sites until yesterday he was nailed on to join Valencia. He hasn't played at all since joining Como so can understand him wanting a move but not having played in 6 months the interest is coming from decent levels.
It's probably just coincidence but lots of Spanish links both ways this Summer

Azon Oh, he's going to score tonight, Show me how to move like Jon Walters (lol) Underneath the Portman Road lights Ivan, Ivan, Azon
I'll be honest, I'd completely blocked Jon Walters from my memory. Might be a trauma response. Equally I was 8 and completly disinterested in football when he left the first time.
