interesting stuff, i think we were expecting similar from delap, but he ended up playing almost every minute as a 9.

Completely agree and said something similar last week. The club has probably outgrown Parkinson's ceiling already.
The owners while they want success, will want a much more developed form of play and I'm sure the journey clubs like us have gone on from McCarthy to McKenna won't be unnoticed. |  | | |

Very sad to see him leave if this is true? Oozed class and never let us down. Could pick a pass, and do the unexpected. Also ran his socks off, which not a lot seemed to notice.

I absolutely agree but what a moment for the club. Signed him for 1.5M ... key player for two seasons securing promotion back to the PL ... sold for 6M profit. The model modern day transaction.

Shame to see him go. 7m for 1 year left on a deal is certainly good money. Don't really see how its "good business" for the fans though, we can't spend as much as we want due to spending limitations so whether it's 2m, 5m, 7m or 10m doesn't really make any difference, it just goes into a pot. |  |
