I don’t think town agreed to a permanent transfer now. Brum tried to hijack the deal by offering to sign him permanently but then withdrew when Akpom said he only wanted to join town.

One would guess that there was a broad agreement on the loan fee/permanent fee to Ajax when we get promoted - which he was given permission from Ajax to travel and undertake a medical. The contract with Akpom himself will be completely separate to the deal, which will be dealt with by himself and his agent.
I think people tend to forget that a contract isn't simply made up of a weekly wage, there are so many factors in play these days - probably complicated more by the fact that an obligation loan needs all aspects ironed out before getting the final approval. [Post edited 8 Aug 12:57]
