It’s clear and obvious that he doesn’t want to be here. Bidding clubs will know that and will know the closer we get to the deadline, the lower fee we will accept because we need the money in the bank to try and re invest it.

That being said, it’s obvious he’s leaving and most probably for £30m+ so why can’t we already be out spending that money?!

I would massively argue that accepting £35m now and having a good few weeks to spend it, is better than accepting say £38m on deadline day and beating stuck with time to spend the money.

I think you’re right that buyers will look to drive down the price, but whether we bite depends on Ashton’s attitude. He has form for not budging (Simpson). I cant see him being held to ransom. Omari may be here in September whether he likes it or not.

Hate to see it, from any player, not just one of ours - but such is the modern game.

Have no issues with his desire to want PL move, but you continue to apply yourself professionally, on the understanding that when the clubs value is met, the club won’t stand in your way - an amicable and sensible solution for everyone.

These situations are also really bad ways to leave clubs.

Very, very disappointed with Hutchinson, regardless of agent input. Noone here would begrudge him top flight football but for his Ipswich career to end in this manner leaves a very sour taste. He should remember who his current employer is...and he could end up in a lonely place if the club don't accept a bid, which they don't have to.

I honestly don't see the benefit in dragging the whole saga out. I know we have a price and have every right to remain stubborn, but I feel its an unwelcome distraction now and isn't helping anyone.

But that is the exact outcome Omari's agent wants and has told Omari so it forces a move at a lower price so we 'get rid of the problem'.

I don't understand why you can't be professional about it and train hard and play hard and show clubs you are a good pro with a great attitude to work hard. I guess that's not how it is these days it's about player power.

Oh for him to be professional like Fernandes and El Khannous who remain committed and professional will get their big moves they deserve as have the right attitude.

If that is true, his delusions of grandeur are in over drive. He was very average last year, and is nowhere near the quality to be an effective regular in a premier league team.
