Feels like we are asset stripping the club with no intention of going back up.

I really hope we adequately fill in the gaps we have created by letting all these players leave the club.

Release or sell solid players and not bringing in replacements. Take the blue tints off young man.

Not sure if this is true or not, but I heard earlier this week that we’re selling off the big screen between the cobbold and south stand to Cineworld. Really are selling everything we’ve got!

I bet he had a wry chuckle at Walton's attempt to claim the ball which lead to their goal last night. Bread and butter for Muric.

how does that get recorded btw, a walton error that lead to a goal?

because i swear people said muric had 5 last season, yet apart from the haaland one where he ran out of his goal, what other ones were actual muric errors which differ from walton and palmer?

Asset stripping is the practice of buying a company with the intention of selling off its assets to make a profit.

So far the only profitable action by the club is the purchase and sale of Delap.

Selling/loaning players out at a loss is a long way from asset stripping . . .

Who have we 'released' or sold?

Tuanzebe and Burgess decided to leave after being offered contracts. Also, how can you 'asset strip' when a player leaves for nothing and a replacement comes in at a cost like Kipre has for Burgess?

Delap went for £30m. He was always going to and had a release clause.

We've flat out refused to sell Davis. We've rejected bids for Omari. We aren't asset stripping are we! It's just reactionary nonsense.

I think its become quite edgy to back Muric.
He makes training ground stuff look effortless, and after years of world class coaching, it should be. But, his decision making and play under pressure is woeful.
He's an up market Will Norris.

1. The other Man city goal where he lost the ball
2. both southampton goals at home last season
3. Newcastle at home when he played a suicide ball to cajuste
4. Bournmouth at home when he came sprinting out his box leaving everything exposed
5. Man united at home when he stood there at let Rashford get a tap in
6. Brentford away - Mbeumo last minute winner.
He had some good games spurs and brighton away but the revisionism is crazy - worst keeper i've seen play for town in my life time

When will you learn, rules around this were established last season.

A goal conceded by Muric was 100% his fault unless it could be clearly proven he could do absolutely nothing about it.

A goal conceded by Walton or Palmer was down to wider defensive errors (generally by new signings made last summer) or the attacking brilliance of the PL opposition, generally for a goal to be credited to a Walton or Palmer error, they had to throw the ball into their own net.

revisionism is crazy

again there is no revisionism, it's just ive watched both other keepers and I can't see how they are seen as better options and muric seen as solely a mistake keeper

so looking back at these errors,
1. yeah forgot that one, that was awful, but palmer had that happen 2 weeks ago
2. both southampton goals - first one, happens to many keepers, could have done better. 2nd walton can't even get that low, so good initial save, unlucky follow up
3. cajuste problem not muric, palmer does this alot
4. yep awol
5. should have done better, lets not forget oshea's lack of marking
6. how on earth is that down to muric? don't we have two defenders there to head the ball?

So yeah, some errors in there, some i'd class as muric specific errors, others not so much imo

Rightly or wrongly, there is a confidence element here though.

In that with Palmer between the sticks, the defensive back line looks more confident.

i like walton, but not for pens, i'd have definitely subbed him off!

In all honesty, I also don't think palmer is good enough for the premier league, I'd have let walton and muric go walton is no where near the level we need - Would've been upgraded area for me but still need so many signings it won't happen!

I just don't think you can trust Muric, the errors he made were so egregious, they were at another level to the regular mistakes keepers can make. And he tended to fall apart having made them, the Man City away game for example, when a second mistake immediately followed the first.

Technically, he obviously has a lot of attributes but I don't think he's got the mentality required. There seems a lack of concentration and doesn't seem to be able to put errors behind him, as keepers need to do. He's 26, so really ought to have progressed on that front.

Yeah but Palmer makes mistakes that nearly lead to goals, and that's definitely as bad as Muric making mistakes that definitely lead to goals.

oh completely get that, it just suprises me how little people have made of palmer and walton, both are solid pros, but extremely average keepers

as we do have money available, I do think we need to find golden number 1, just dont use goalkeeper.com again
