Bit disappointed if I’m being honest 01:05 - Aug 15 with 2439 views | Cheltenham_Blue | Thought Omari was Ipswich Town. Clear now he wasn’t. Guess this is the market we’re now in with any player of real promise that comes here. Not sure I like new football as much. Good luck to him, he probably won’t get an England cap IMHO, just wish he’d done it with a bit more respect and decorum for the club. If Morsy was still here, he’d have probably left one on him at training.

Bit disappointed if I’m being honest on 06:30 - Aug 15 with 1477 views | GlasgowBlue | Why would you think Omari was “Ipswich Town”? He spent his development years at Arsenal and then jumped ship to join Chelsea. He had a fantastic season with us on loan, developed brilliantly under McKenna and signed permanently. Unfortunately we were relegated. If we didn’t enjoy last season as fans then I would doubt the players found it much fun either playing In a team that got beaten nearly every week . He had a relegation clause put in his contract so he was never joining us out of love. From the off it was clear from him that if we went down he’d rather not be down with us. He has the ambition to become an elite player. With that ambition he has the ability to do so. He’s not going to achieve that playing another season in the Championship. Especially in a World Cup year. Just like in any other walk of life, he wants to be at the top level of his profession. Sad to see him down tools when he most likely would have got the move he wanted anyway, but it’s certainly not “new” football. Players have been leaving clubs in order to better themselves since the game turned professional.

Ita not about emotion from the players, its about being professional and having some respect. He dpes have a four year contract of employment, ( that he was very happy to sign and " commit to") and he'd soon get upset about if Town didn't honour it. It cuts both ways. This is the issue I have with players and their bloody agents!

Just milk them for their ability when here, hopefully experience some good times, then see them have a hissy fit when a club in the next bracket comes calling. Of course, they aren’t all like Omari, some have morals and won’t chuck toys from pram.

Personally i'm not giving broadhead grief because: a) he's contributed more (extra 6 months at the club helps) and given me more happy memories than omari b) he made himself available in the important game at brum c) sounds like the wrexham deal has been done for a while and it was ipswich who were delaying, instead of him refusing to play while waiting for a bid d) given the deal was done, i believe the club would have decided to rest him tuesday even if he'd made himself available, so as not to scupper it. I prefer to think the best of people. I don't think most are annoyed with omari because he's black. It's because he's being an unprofessional fackwit.

There are some awful agents but surely it’s an extension of workers rights. Better to have agents looking out for their clients best interest than the days when someone like Cloughie would lock a player in an office until he signed a contract that was heavily loaded in the favour of the club.

Bit disappointed if I’m being honest on 07:57 - Aug 15 with 1048 views | Swansea_Blue | Rather ironic referencing Morsy there. Football is a marketplace. That’s all there is to it. Players have to forego any sort of allegiances while they’re part of the circus. The occasional one gets to match allegiances with a move (e.g. Broady now) but most don’t. Hutch is probably Arsenal anyway.

You say that like the Forest coach hasnt got a track record of developing young players? Anderson, Gibbs-White, Hudson Odoi & Elanga all improved under him.

Not sure they improved under him , personally I feel they performed better in the system they play - particularly Elanga & Hudson Odoi . MGW has always been quality I hope it works out for him and gets sold for a further £70m and we've got some good clauses assigned to it

Fans/supporters of the club - we're here for life. Players, managers etc are just the current employees of the club) (and with extremely few exceptions) - they're just passing through. Enjoy the good ones while they're with us.

They are only human, and we’ve all left jobs for better money/opportunities. However, the way he’s gone about it is poor if he’s refused to play. Possibly ill advised by his agent, but the contrast with Fernandes at Southampton for example has not made him look good.

Are you attempting a peculiar form of race-baiting with these comments? Stark differences exist here without reducing things down to the colour of a person's skin. Were these scenarios the same, sadly I'm confident Omari would receive worse treatment from an audible, significant minority of racists, particularly online. For the majority, this hasn't entered the equation when expressing feelings around our two departures. It seems to me both lazy and unhelpful to attribute the broad forum reaction to racism.
