This Hutch fee is amazing for a bang average PL player 11:34 - Aug 15 with 1302 viewsbillabasblue

The club have done brilliant here , Omari looked good in the championship and totally bang average last season at PL level , couldn’t ever beat his defender always cutting back inside and no end product at all. His value will likely never be higher for us as it is right now so this is great business and allows us to bring in several key players who will be more important to our squad than a sulking pre Madonna would be. Well done Ashton and co now let’s bring in some real quality

I think in a side that can break at pace and in numbers Hutchinson will thrive. His lack of end product was often due to a lack of options further up the pitch in a side that wasn't good enough for the level it was playing.

He's a superb player. 1 of only a handful that looked at home at that level, along with Delap, O'Shea, Davis to some extent. Its no surprise these are the ones who have been linked with moves back to that level and Hutchinson is every bit a Premier League player. He's also only 21.

90% of the time he couldn’t beat his defender because he’d just carried the ball 60 yards getting his team up the pitch. Then when he’d got there, he only had Delap as an option.

‘Bang average’ premier league players at 22 years of age tend to go on to have very good careers.

I agree. He started the PL season really well. Our opponents almost immediately figured out that he was our main threat and kept a very close eye on him. After the bright start he certainly faded, but in a team where he isn't expected to carry everyone along with him he'll contribute significantly.

POTD - nearly gave you an uppie for Pre-Madonna but reading the post again I don't think it was the comedy post I'd assumed.

I fear this is a far too balanced and reasonable take for this subject right now.

tend to agree with bothpoints of view. On one side that he did not cut in in the prem in a poor team. On the other hand he is a good player and they thrive in good teams who move the ball quicker and have players who can support. What you don't want is Omari with prem defenders in front of him, as all wide prem defenders are fast monsters. But in a better team where he can get in behind or come inside with space and time on the ball, he should do well. There is more to come from him, development-wise. I think he has found his ceiling at Ipswich and needs a new mentor. Also, he is unlikely to get near the England squad while in the Championship, which after his Euros, must be a factor in his thinking.

He may improve at a better side I agree however as I mentioned his value would never be higher for us as it is right now , if we kept him sulking all season against his well he wouldn’t be worth anywhere close to this next summer so it’s a great bit of business. I agree with Butchers take on him he didn’t shine at all last season even when he was in promising positions he couldn’t ever find a player or get a decent shot away , I feel we have got the better side of this deal than Forest have but assuming we have a sell on clause in case he turns into a good PL player in the future then it’s win win ! His attitude is appalling and is everything that is wrong with modern day footballers so I’m pleased he is gone and his money will hopefully take us further forward than keeping him would do !

Forest have proven themslves to be very good at developing wide players.

Elanga and Hudson Odoi went there with a lot of people writing them off and they became one of the more effective partnerships in the league. Omari was nowhere near as bad for us last season as some made out. He will do well there.

I think I know what you mean - its kind of what Butcher said the other day. And its true, he hasnt really lit up the prem yet. BUT ... most neutral pundits seem to think he's got what it takes to become way more than a bang average prem player. And thats obviously what Forest think too, so

Omari by blueasfook 26 May 11:51
Can he be coached into being a bit more of a team player and maybe seeking out a pass or a cross into the box instead of trying to score a worldie every time he gets within 20 yards of goal. 99% of the time his shot gets blocked or is off target. Just wasteful. Maybe we'd have got a few more goals this season if it wasn't for pound shop Ronaldo.

I don't agree think his a super little player and can have a top career don't agree with how he has gone about it but won't knock his talent or ability.

My view of him is he still get decisions wrong and lets be honest, he didn't do that mucvh last season with us, but we were not very good, hopeless for the last few months.

In a better team, he will get more space etc but is he going to score many goals and assists. I'm not sure. Will he even get in Forest's first team?

He's young enough to improve though.

The mental gymnastics that people do about players to try and justify their views really makes me laugh at times on here.

A player is the bees knees and a 'cheat code' at this level one moment, and the moment he does something they don't like suddenly he's actually over-rated, bang average and nothing special just because they are leaving and thus they can't bear to admit actually we'll be worse without them.

Your are correct he would have been a “cheat code “ at this level this level was literally the last time he put in a high class performance for us , at Pl level he is currently not good enough but maybe good enough one day in a better side but that’s no good to us a sulking kid is not what the club needed to get us out of this league we need men who are prepared to put it on the line every week ! Let’s hope he turns into a good Pl player and we benefit from a sell on clause in 5 years time but right now and here this deal is amazing and if you read the vast majority of comments across neutral social media platforms from opposing supporters the consensus seems to be that he is vastly overrated and that Forest are overpaying which is my view too but let’s see !
