1. Pressure washer makeovers. Is there anything more satisfying than seeing a dirty patio or fence get blasted back to clean? Honourable mention also to garden/landscaping makeovers.

2. South American moped bandits getting eliminated. I could never visit Brazil because I’m convinced anyone on a motorcycle is out to rob or shoot me. Love it when the tables are turned.

3. Alone in the Wilderness. A 1968 show about a bloke who builds himself a cabin in Alaska and lived off the land. And filmed it all. Utterly fascinating. Thank me later.

1- Dashcam footage, especially when poster is one in the wrong and get's absolutely roasted for it.

2 - Woodwork videos, especially around joinery work, I'm a sucker for a perfect fit half-blind dovetail.

3 - Lawn mowing / maintenance - fascinates me that people spend hours on a small piece of grass, often less than 20 square meters - and spend a fortune on mowers, feed etc

Alone in the wilderness - thank you.

Not that long ago I watched a lot of YouTube videos of people having a mountain of ear wax removed from their ears.

And people having their abscesses burst by doctors.

My top 3 are....

Rock crusher in ? Pakistan ? Middle East..... high drama when a giant rock blocks the machine and men in shalwar/kemise and sandals try to hit said rock with a huge sledge hammer to allow crushing to continue. Mesmerising stuff.

Chubby Korean bloke in unwise crochet woollen leggings makes popcorn/ toffee or maybe braised lamb.... always involves an action packed close up of him lighting the stove using matches and pink tissue paper. He also fixes stuff around his house using mud/straw or any misc tutt..... he lives on his own but has a female neighbour who fixes all kinds of shonky elderly machinery using really rubbish tools from a very small blue toolbox. Informative, but slightly tragic.

Amusing Ukrainian lass who lives in Reigate and passes sarky comments on the state of Britain and its inhabitants, frequently involving graphic scenes of Morris Dancing. She is often seen consuming vast portions of fish'n'chips, burgers, doughnuts and ice cream despite her being skinny as a rake..... always with a very wry and dry commentary

Honourable mention to Curtis of Cutting Edge Engineering somewhere is Aus. He clearly knows about fixing up huge mining plant and machinery, but his presentation style is just hostage video.

The ear wax videos are so satisfying. But also make me wonder what the hell sort of gunk I've got stuffed down my own ear canal. Doesn't bear thinking about.

Mine are all associated with dramatic village events:

The Occold Cabbage Tossing Regatta, narrated like a Champions League final.

A slow-motion montage of someone winning second prize in the Gazeley Fire Engine Show’s “Best Polished Hose” category.

Steve Ovett attempts to referee a hedgehog race while dressed as a bishop.

I got involved in a Morris Dancing workshop on my way to a urinal last Sunday lunchtime, confused the hell out of me as I thought the Highland dancing was still on.

My short lived passion for the Steve Marsh travel vlogs and then the Bald and Bankrupt ones seem very mainstream compared with the rest of this thread. Some people need to get out more but I'm wondering if I need to stay in more.

1: Yokkos.252 - three Japanese guys wearing latex masks inflicting various degrees of (cartoon) violence on each other in a range of silly tasks. [Now I type that out it sounds so much dodgier than it is in reality]

2: Jelle's Marble Run - into season 7 or 8 now - I'm a committed O'Rangers fan to the point that when they didn't qualify for the finals in 2024 I didn't watch the finals and when they won Marbula One in late 2023 I was celebrating in a similar way to when Town beat Huddersfield a few months later!! [not sure how I ended up having such an attachment to one group of coloured marbles over another]

3: Ron Chopper Golf - the biggest YouTube Golfer down here in Australia. It started out as a parody of other YouTube golfers (Ron Chopper is a character created by a golf club pro here in Perth - Matt Heath) but then he became a bit more serious once his subscribers started to increase. Before his channel really took off about 18 months ago Matt was still giving lessons and I had 3-4 sessions with him - great guy and not that dissimilar to his Ron character.

Also do a lot of YouTube quizzes with my wife and kids (Quiz Master Dale and Quizzes 4 You - both UK based are our go tos).

Like someone else on here we had a phase of nightly watching ear wax extractions and pimple popping a few years ago - but it's become very samey (you've seen a few and you've seen them all).

1. Casting ant nests with molten metal before turning them into art pieces. Not great for the ants admittedly but the size and complexity of the structures they create is mind blowing.

2. Removing hornet / wasp nests from various locations in old houses. Again, less than ideal for the wasps but its interesting how large they get!

I am an animal lover really🤣
