Omari on 16:02 - Aug 24 with 2185 views | DublinBlue84 | The bitterness from some of our fans about him staggers me. We're better than that. So far this season we have really missed having a player like Omari and he was clearly too good for this league. I don't agree with how he went about his move but I'm not bitter. Some of the comments on his Instagram post to Town fans were disgusting and no surprise that he disabled comments on it after the personal abuse he got. Some of our so called supporters need to give their head a wobble. [Post edited 24 Aug 16:03]

Shouldn’t have refused to play for the club then should see.

Suspect some Town fans feel very aggrieved at his disrespect towards Town, and refusing to play.

I really like Omari. I really he hope he kicks on to the next level at the elite level of the Prem. Needs to take chances like those just missed though.

I don't blame him for refusing to play in the League Cup game, it was 100% obvious we would lose the game, and it frees him up to play for his new team which has a decent chance of progressing in the competition.

I didn't see the comments, but can hazard a guess at the sort of stuff that will have been said. I think having a grumble about players on forums like this is fair enough, even if some goes too far in my opinion, but chasing after players on their own social media is pretty low, and says an awful lot about the individuals doing it.

Completely agree. How we could have done with a fully firing Omari in first few games. Hope it works out well for him at NF.

Wish we’d have had a fully firing Omari last season, went missing in way too many games. Because of his form in the second half of our promotion season he escaped criticism at the time but he didn’t deliver last season. Sure most Town fans hoped he’d stay and help us do well this season. Not excusing the abuse he got. Crazy that he might have a new manager soon and not sure how things will go for him if he continues to miss chances like he did yesterday.
Omari on 09:28 - Aug 25 with 594 views | DJR | The fact that Omari had two chances in the 10 or so minutes he was on the pitch shows the level of the players he has around him, in contrast to last season. He will do well.
Omari on 10:48 - Aug 25 with 401 views | WeWereZombies | Maybe Forest will look at him as not quite ready for their team yet and send him out on loan for the first half of the season, although he may not want to come back somewhere where he has had to close down social media replies to stop the abuse.
