I just watched a baseball highlights video and the next video that started instantly afterwards was a closeup of the shooting. Sad how stuff like that is pushed out so freely.

Mulling on it. The worst part for me is, whatever your political opinion (and to clarify I was not a supporter of his nor do I agree with 80% of his views), at least this guy would go out and welcome debate/challenge. He'd listen to different questions and was happy to respond to them. Put himself in very tough debates with very educated people across schools all over the world. The type of open discussion, you would think, that gets people places. He wasn't just some loon with a keyboard spamming X all day.
And this is what he gets...shot in the neck and dead at 31. Appreciate it's difficult to say without a motive, but it's not a good look for democracy.

Thought I would take a glimpse here, some reasonable and well thought out posts, then some fairly classless garbage but that is basically, as expected.
I actually fear what this event might lead to in our current climate and its not often I say that.
Outside of the obvious personal tragedy of a young father being murdered, this could be really bad. He was a very significant MAGA figure and one that would actually engage with people on campus that didn't agree with him.

Can't say I know the ins and outs in all fairness, I have just seen many of his clips where he goes into mainly dominated liberal spaces with very intelligent people a la Cambridge, Oxford etc.

Yeah, everyone has things that they care about/for, that just isn’t high on my list of things to concern my life with. Would it change the situation if I did? Nope.
What do I care about? (In no particular order) Town, my friends, my family, my dogs, England when they play in major competitions, doing my best/working hard in my job. Probably missed. Few things off, but a quick snapshot there as you asked.
I wasn't sure whether to reply given the tragic turn of events texters, but I felt I wanted to say I care about those things too (though I don't have dogs), but I also find space to care about other things further afield too. Take this murder. I didn't particularly like Kirk, in the same way I don't like Trump and his entourage, Farage and co, SYL and his c@nty followers, but what has happened is terrible on so many levels as eloquently posted by others here. If none of us cared outside of our bubble, we'd end up with nothing but the crass posts like AB has posted. I can't believe for a moment you would support that.
