Antarctica, but you’ll need a good, sturdy anorak

We do have the Johnnie Logan option though.

To be more serious, I remember all this which knocked nuclear on the head in Ireland.

New Zealand.

But the Chinese could invade without nukes whenever they wanted.

You want a remote, agriculturally viable location in the southern hemisphere.

New Zealand, southern Patagonia and central Tasmania are often cited. But you still need to check what way the wind is blowing when all that fallout is thrown up in the air.

If you want somewhere remote, run down, agriculturally based society with a backward somewhat regressive local population that will be awed by your knowledge of modern technology there is always Norfolk

Christmas Island

I will take your Christmas Island and raise you Clipperton Island:

'By 1917, all but one of the male inhabitants had died. Many had perished from scurvy, while others, including Arnaud, died during an attempt to sail after a passing ship to fetch help. Lighthouse keeper Victoriano Álvarez was the last man on the island, together with 15 women and children. Álvarez proclaimed himself 'king', and began a campaign of rape and murder, before being killed by Tirza Rendón, who was his favourite victim. Almost immediately after Álvarez's death, four women and seven children, the last survivors, were picked up by the U.S. Navy gunship Yorktown on 18 July 1917' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clipperton_Island

Sounds nice

Stewart Island off the coast of South Island, New Zealand is the best bet.

Loads of kiwis there in protected reserves so you'll always have easily caught meat for the barbie.

Amuses me that a ship turned up as soon as there was nobody left to run the lighthouse.

I didn't see a single kiwi (avian type) when I went there, but there were plenty of huge rats. So no problem with a source of meat.

Have you tried Norfolk, not sure they even have electricity yet? You might get a few funny looks if you aren’t local though.

I've often thought Norfolk would be a decent bet, but the prevailing west to east winds would probably screw us, plus maybe RAF Marham (or whatever its called) might be a target. You lot would definitely get one in suffolk with Sizewell and the airbases - Norfolk (half) wins again.

Felixstowe may well be a target too. So Norfolk definitely gonna be too close. Even if the winds are kind, imagine the flood of refugees. Then the north folk start eating the south folk, the savages.
