Coventry looking very good this season on 20:50 - Oct 1 with 1669 views | GlasgowBlue | Lampard is no mug and got them into the play offs last season after they were well adrift. I think the title is out of reach based ion the depth of their squad but 11 v 11 they are a match for anybody. They'll finish 4th or 5th imo.

Coventry looking very good this season on 21:17 - Oct 1 with 1537 views | WestSussexBlue | They have started very well haven’t they. I’m not convinced they’re able to stay consistent enough for top Two but they’re certainly not a team I’d want to be more than 8 points max behind. Top six material at this stage.

I think Boro will drop away and not seen anyone else that’s convinced me yet this season. Obviously it’s very early though!

I think if they get to Jan right up there they will spend to get the job done. Kept their powder pretty dry in the summer. I definitely tip them for top 2.

He adapts well. Doing a great job. Away form is so critical … they have three goals tonight. We have scored just two penalties in the four away games albeit one abandoned. That’s just not good enough. KM needs to adapt to the tactics against us.

I don't think we lack pace. We just play slow football.

Where is the pace in our team. I can only point to Leif and O'shea who I would describe as quick. I agree moving the ball fast is also effective but looking at guys like Omari, Burns even Jackson. Just wish we had a bit more of that sort of pace in the squad.

When at actual fullspeed philogene clarke mcateer cajuste can all put on the afterburners. Even azor is a nimble fella. Hirst is no shirker either and azon has shown a deceptive bit of pace too. But we don't really play with the requirement of needing full bloodied running. Only really that of davis on his overruns. We are however better when we play quick tempo football. We just haven't seen it enough yet

Looks that way. I thought he was awful before Coventry. It looks like they’re all together. Manager, owners, team and crowd. They’ll be tough because let’s face it, they’re all pointing in the same direction, just as we were two years ago. Not the case here now. The players are trying to get used to each other, many of the supporters including a big percentage on here loathe the players and have lost faith in the manager, CEO and owners. We are definitely not together and should we fail to get back to the PL, that’ll be a major factor. Sad, but that’s how it looks to me when you are booing a keeper pre season, filling social media with mockery and hate, saying a lad of 23 with a handful of appearances is sht and deriding the team relentlessly after a draw away from home because we paid fees for players. I thought after Saturday that the team was coming together. Not sure now.

Church you seem shocked that there is some negativity out there. There are ways to go about things. But we have spent a fortune in replacing let's face it club hero's with higher quality players and the results aren't happening. It may take time. It may be to much for KM to actually achieve at this level we don't know. We rode the wave of league 1 promotion and haven't been the same since

For me they have had one of the best squads in the Championship in recent seasons and were definitely underperforming under Robins They'll surely be in the mix I can see other people mentioning we lack pace and I do agree, we have lacked that straight line speed since Burns has been out Leif is genuinely quick but whilst none of Philogene, Clarke, Hirst or McAteer are slow coaches, they don't have that explosive pace which leaves defenders for dead Look at the difference Armstrong made when he started to make runs at our defence like that, we don't have a current striker like that That is an ingredient we miss in the side

There is not some negativity. There’s a tide of it FB. I’m not shocked, just very disappointed in the lack of patience, nastiness, objectivity, sense and quite frankly support. True shock that actually matters is real life - like finding your brother in law dead on the floor or trying to keep your misses or your mackem mate cheerful when you know they’re in a world of health bad news (Mrs C is thumbs up through it thank goodness). Enjoying your posts since your return btw FB.

Yeah, but he only replicated what Mark Robins had done in the preceding two seasons. Coventry have been notoriously slow starters for the last x3 seasons and I thought it was a bit odd that they dumped Robins last year. In fairness, Lampard’s a far better manager than Rooney and Gerrard, part of that so-called golden generation of English players that learnt absolutely nothing from their years spent under excellent managers.
