I wonder whether Nunez crossing the divide would make it easier or harder for him to do the same?
Sargent on 12:12 - Oct 20 with 2482 views | IH_KGF | he should have been the one we went for in the summer if we're being honest. I'm sure that wont be a popular opinion though. But he's a proven championship striker who can lead the line, exactly what we needed.

He has no emotional ties to Norwich, it’s just another club, get it done . He’d score bags full of goals for us !!

Yes as he clearly didn't want to pss any of the town bench off for when he signs in Jan :)

Maybe he climbed out of his pocket and grabbed his legs on Friday evening when he tried to clear the ball - could explain what went on
Sargent on 12:43 - Oct 20 with 2204 views | football | Could you imagine the fall out from that lot - would be nuclear. Would certainly be a challenge to admin to think of a better way to announce that than Nunez | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Sargent on 13:41 - Oct 20 with 1859 views | OldFart71 | I think for how good/bad he is the Budgies would want stupid money and I would have serious doubts that he is Premier League class. I think the type of player we need is a David Johnson (Everton) style to play alongside one of the number 9's.
Sargent on 13:45 - Oct 20 with 1821 views | ArnieM | I'd laugh my sox off if that happened.... that 6 gingered lot would literally implode after stating on Social Media that Sargent is crap of course.

Have a POV camera angle, walking down the tunnel. Nunez appears at the end of it and beckons them onto the pitch. Camera rotates and shows Sargent in his new Town kit. Cut to the usual clips of the player posing and the camera moving around them, but make sure some of them include Sargent posing with a corner flag.
Sargent on 14:26 - Oct 20 with 1659 views | Kievthegreat | I can't see it. I think ironically this Summer was a better opportunity. There has been huge fallout from the Nunez sale and I think the Norwich management failed to comprehend what they'd done. They thought of the decision in terms of numbers on a spreadsheet and didn't understand the potential fan reaction. I doubt they'd make that mistake again. I think if someone offered the 5m less, they'd take that over selling to us now.

Oh, dont ruin my image of announcement day by talking sense...
Sargent on 17:15 - Oct 20 with 1320 views | ITFCSG | Too injury prone though, and the scum would want an arm and leg for him plus a premium to placate their fanbase
Sargent on 18:27 - Oct 20 with 1106 views | LeoMuff | They would be nuts and after the damage to relationships from the Nunez sale I would be very surprised . He would however be the perfect fit

Sargent on 18:37 - Oct 20 with 1072 views | HighgateBlue | Is there any substance to the link? Forgive my ignorance, but has this Simon Bennett ever been knowingly known to be ITK? My position is clear: (a) I would love it because he's top goalscorer at this level; (b) I would love it because haha Norwich; (c) I would be extremely surprised if it happened. They are once bitten after Nunez, Sargent is an even bigger fish in their pond, the fallout would be mad, and they would want silly money whoever they sold him to. Unlike with Nunez, there would be bound to be other bidders. My only concern is that he is controlling Kipre from within his pocket, hence the goal in the Ipswich net against Boro.

Announcement day - he'd be dressed in a blue and white Ronald McDonald outfit surely? Or fronting a band called Simply Blue?

I agree, and I very much wanted it to happen at the time. But I'm a kid in a sweet shop rather than a professional football manager. Sadly. Azon fits the McKenna mould more obviously. He deserves his chance between now and January. If he takes it, we might not need another number 9. But it would be seriously sweet...

Can't knock his goal record to be fair but thought he was poor at PR. That said buying him could send them down so worth it for that alone.
Sargent on 21:09 - Oct 20 with 760 views | Paramedic | Can’t see Norwich letting this happen again. The fans are still in meltdown about Nunez, letting their best player come here as well would be PR apocalypse for them. [Post edited 20 Oct 21:14]

I think Sargent has thrown the towel in for them now tbh. I'd be amazed if hes still at CR after Han window, and when he does leave, that's them down as far as I can see. Im sure Nunez is in his ear on a weekly basis about life at Town.... watch thus space as they say. If it happens id not stop laughing for the rest of the season...as Sam said, " you're our feeder club"

He looks disinterested and has nil service. Bet he is ruing not going in the summer window but can't see him staying post January. Not his biggest fan but it would make my day/week/year if it did happen. Worse clubs for him to go to as he can stay local and team up again with Marcelino. How will Hernandez cope with it though
Sargent on 07:20 - Oct 21 with 315 views | itfc_bucks | Is he fit and mobile enough to play the 9 role, as we have it though?

Sargent on 07:23 - Oct 21 with 307 views | ITFC_Forever | He’s not very good. Flat-track bully at this level, but nowhere near good enough for the Prem. And there’s no way Norwich would allow it after seeing the fall-out from the Nunez transfer from the fans.
