yes, one man and his dog booing him at a pre season friendly is definitely the reason he might not ever play for us again.
Nothing to do with consistent Sunday league errors and the enormous amount of points he cost us last season.
Good post, well done.
If you think it was one, then you weren't there, and it was indicative of behaviour at other times.
I won't deny it was a minority, but it was a reasonable number, and is repeated so many times by this small, but vocal group, when they decide to 'have it in' for one of ours.
It's disgraceful behaviour imo, and has contributed to us not having available a potentially massive asset.

To be clear, I'm not onboard at all with not supporting our players while they are on the pitch for us - however, he was an error prone buffoon while in goal for us.
To your last sentence, the reason we aren't higher in the table this year has nothing to do with the goalkeeping position so we aren't being deprived of anything even if you do think Muric is better than what we have.

To your last sentence, we'll never know. There are goals we've conceded this season that I suspect Muric would have prevented.
We could, and we’ll never know. His excellent season (so far) in series A certainly suggests he’s got something about him that would have been good in the championship. Or maybe a better defence ahead of him (compared to last season).

I’m with SuffolkPunch on this. Our finest made sure Muric was done here. It wasn’t one person booing him. It was many more than that. He was derided from the off because he replaced Hladky and a fee was paid for him. Hardly his fault, but that didn’t stop the scapegoaters who were after him after his first away game.
However he was viewed, he deserved support but got none here by our finest. I saw him play. Yes he made errors. Too many, but part of that was the lack of cover he had in front and the fact that after 20 mins it was away performance 9-1 defence formation home and away.
He was scrutinised - every move. Was Palmer? No. In his first home game Palmer let the ball roll under his foot Gunn style. The opposition nearly scored for what would have been the howler of the season. Was there any comment on here? None.
I think Muric was a better keeper with more potential than Walton, Palmer and Hladky. He just needed a little support - but was at the wrong club for that. Hopefully we will get most of the transfer fee back.
Where I agree with you is that I don’t think our league position would be any different whichever of the three was between the sticks. Palmer and Walton are ok for this level. Of the two, Walton has the shirt and has done nothing to deserve losing it and leaves me with more confidence than Palmer.
He’s a big bloke and that save yesterday was something else.
I take Muric back at this level in a heartbeat... And should KM decide to put him in the team anyone not showing him support should really look at themselves in the mirror and ask if they are truly a Town Supporter!

Didn't we actually go four games unbeaten with Muric in goal?
For me, he is an enigma, he has everything in his locker to be a top keeper but his decision making is poor
There maybe communication issues too and he isn't as good at playing out as Hladky but in truth, we may never find another keeper who is, Hladky was a bit of a freak there, he actually played as a 10 before being a keeper apparently which would explain a lot. I actually think from a keeping point of view that he wasn't as good as Walton for example.
Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Hladky was a very average keeper. Crosses and shots were not something he excelled at. He was just very good at playing out. In the Premier league I'm not sure it would have been as easy for him, plus the players he passed to were under pressure and made mistakes as well.
I also seem to recall we conceded at least one if not more goals from Hladky getting it wrong playing it out. But people tend to forget mistakes by players they like.
