Certainly not at the time of the goal. I have only begrudgingly and quietly clapped an opposition goal, begrudgingly if it is a really brilliant goal, probably once every 3 years or so.

As others have said, happy to offer them warm applause before, as subs and at the end, but I can't imagine I'd be clapping too much if either of them score!

I think my 50 years of age is showing up in this post. In my younger days I would be of the 'win at all costs' mantle and nothing else. These days, yes of course I want us to win. But I sure as hell appreciate the moments of happiness those two bought me after many years of malaise.

Absolutely. I remember Jason Dozzell getting boatloads of abuse when he turned up with Spurs. It was all part of the fun and neither he or the crowd worried about it. He’s still and always will be a club legend.
