Shame he didn’t show an ounce of that with us.

Forget about him.

On the whole, he's a very decent keeper.

He is the best keeper we have on our books but don’t see him playing a part with us. Hopefully Sassulo or someone else give us at least what we paid for him to free up some funds for another CM or number 9

Instead of hammering the bloke, a little support or even silence might have encouraged him a little more than abuse and ridicule.

But no. Our finest decided he wasn’t Hladky so for them he was toast and had to go.

I’m glad he’s doing well. He’s finished here sadly, but at least if he carries on with his form we will get some of his transfer fee back.

Didn't save 1-2 one on ones a game? Did you see that or is your head still up your ar*e trying to vindicate yourself.

As they made an offer allegedly are we hanging out for the full price ?

That list also demonstrates the importance of having an in-form keeper to stay in the PL e.g. Roefs at Sunderland.

Just wrong, and unnecessary.

The stick he got at the pre-season friendly was ridiculous of course, but if McKenna believed Muric was our best keeper, he would have started the season. McKenna wouldn't have been swayed by a few boo-boys, as it turned out he was apparently fine with letting him go. I wish him well, didn't work out for him here but that's football for you.

I think this whole saga may have been our fanbases biggest cutting-nose-off-to-spite-face in my memory

Statistically our best keeper in the PL yet many still w*nked themselves into a coma over Palmer.

The boo-boys took the decision out of McKenna's hands. You can't subject one of your own players, particularly a goalkeeper, to that kind of abuse, ffs, and expect it not to have an effect.

Some 'supporters' are proper oxymorons.

Didn't we go 4 games without losing with him in the side also?

Muric has a high shelf but his decision making was his real downfall, I suspect we have moved on from him because of that, he'd also had some driving offences which I don't think would sit well with McKenna

I thought the team who has loaned him had an agreement to buy after the loan where we'd recoup our original transfer fee?

He was also carrying an injury at various times last season, which might have been used as an excuse to keep him out towards the end (particularly after Southampton) but I do wonder if that is part of what went wrong for him here.

For whatever reason it didn't work out here. I'm delighted he is finding his feet in Italy and wish him well. Decent performances means that we will hopefully recoup some of the expenditure.

Good goalkeeper, complete moron would be my take. Be delighted if we could recover our outlay on him.

Absolutely they did take it from McKenna’s hands. The c-wombles set out and achieved precisely what they intended.

There is no way McKenna could put Muric in and subject him to torrents of abuse. A lot of goalkeeping is confidence and hearing abuse, ridicule and ironic cheers was never going to do anything but diminish that confidence and make him even more likely to screw up.

You are right. A percentage of our ‘supporters’ are thick beyond belief.

Best record in the Premier League than any of the three keepers we used last season.

They have an option, not an obligation, which of course is vastly different.

It was reported that they want to make it perm, and given they look well clear of relegation I wouldn't be surprised if it happens in January. All parties would need to agree to terminate the loan which wouldn't be a problem if a deal on a permanent could be struck. Otherwise I guess he stays on loan for the season and we sell to the highest bidder in the summer.

If we can get back what we paid you would have to say that's not a bad bit of damage limitation on a signing that hasn't worked out.
