Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Yeah a bit more content, our coverage on Suffolk seems really poor compared to what Norwich get, they have a proper phone in after every game, it sure how long it lasts though. Like tonight couldn’t fit the McKenna interview in, show needs to go on until 11 on a midweek game.

That sounds a very sensible change. The phone-in was always those who had listened on the radio and were reflecting what the commentators had said alongside their own rants (plus Rich). By getting a selection who aren't fussed enough to ring in but quite happy to share their thoughts from fans who were there watching is bound to be a massive improvement.

I bet those who usually ring in won't be happy they can't share their thoughts, though!

Was just listening and thinking how awful it was.
Interviewer:
Do you think we should change the team for Leicester?
“No”
Even if George Hirst is available
“yes”
Repeat x 3, then five minutes later ask different people exactly the same question and receive the same answer.

People are entitled to their opinions. I am amazed at how many fans really seem to have it in for Hirst right now. He is clearly not on top form but I can't believe anyone genuinely thinks Azon or Akpom offer as much as him.

I don’t think it’s anyone’s opinion tbh, it’s just indicative of what happens if you get a random work experience kid to ask the same questions of very similar people with zero thought or editing. It’s not good radio, I’d rather listen to Rich or Brian or whichever identikit caller they have lined up. Blimey I’d rather hear them cut to someone talking through all the action in the big Trimley Red Devils match.

Agree, thought it was awful though the usual phone ins are also awful - people who just talk for the sake of talking - same people every time

Mick Mills’ time has come on there. He is painful to listen to.

I much preferred the phone in. At least it was interesting and you did get some d good callers and debate.

Interviews outside the ground didn't add anything. Very pedestrian.

Hirst is so underrated. Most fans seem to have no sense of the role and what he offers.

Top player.

It did have Jason Cundy on TalkSport vibes, hoping for some controversial opinions

But definitely fresher than the usual callers with their own agendas

Yup , it’s ridiculous how some people can’t see what HIrst brings to the team and feel he would have had a goal tonight .

I didn’t think asking people outside about the game was so bad. Maybe if the person asking the questions varied them a little he might get different responses. Ask the same question of those who saw the same thing and you’ll inevitably get the same response.

Made a change from the same sads droning on after the game.

My impression was I don’t think people were anti Hirst in those interviews. It was a question around and unchanged team in general.

Mills can be ok. Sort of depends on his mood and if he has a beef about something. Not his fault but he really doesn’t have a voice for radio.

As for the program itself, it could be better and certainly for evening games longer. Fr9m a selfish angle it took me more than 15mins to get back to the car so only 30 mins of it were left. No KM interview or much else really.
