He certainly was. Andy was his first name. George Dixon was in a film called the Blue lamp in which I believe he died
I wasn't very old then and my dad would go to bingo at Stowmarket and me and mum would sit down to a bag of crisps and a mars bar.
They would be Smiths crisps with the little blue salt bag in them,
One time we got a bag with some black bits on the crisps and a family friend sent them back to Smiths with a letter. We received a huge metal tin full of crisps as a gift for the fault in that packet. Fat chance of getting something like that now, you'd be lucky to get a voucher for 75p that a bag of crisps cost now.
