Azon's best game 20:24 - Dec 29 with 1390 viewscbower

Worked so hard and some decent link play. If he learns to stay on his feet and not be bullied a bit better, he can contribute more than Akpom.

Would still like a no 9 in the window mind you.

He worked tirelessly tonight and was a pest. There is a player there, just needs to build his strength and work on his finishing.

Ran himself in to the ground.

I liked him tonight, although he needs to stop going down so easily, refs quickly pickup on it.

Put in a shift, linked play and unlucky not to be on the scoresheet. I still want to see a new striker in January but glad to see him finding his feet now.

Really good performance from him I thought. Tireless running which caused them problems, good movement and some nice runs in behind. Won some headers and forced a couple of saves from the keeper. If he can sharpen up his finishing and stay on his feet a bit more, he's got a bright future ahead of him.

He ran his socks off and really put himself about.

I liked that all over the park we let them know we were up for the fight tonight.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Posted elsewhere, but the aggressive front foot defending from the back 4 set the tone for the rest of the team.

Disagree he huffs and puffs but his movement ain't great in the box and link up play isn't great Hirst would of thrived tonight or a More, Osula or Simms hes a bit of a mismatch for the role

It takes time for some players to adapt.

As I said on another post Wirtz cost Liverpool £116m, he only scored his first league a few days ago. It takes even the most expensive players time to settle especially in a different country.

Even Isak who cost £125m, was scoring for fun in the PL last season, cannot hit a barn door this season. It can take time.

I agree after the first 15 his touch became so much better great work rate. But would love a centre forward who hits the net regularly.

Kept our heads but at the right time let them know we weren’t going to be pushed around. Really good night for Furlong in that respect.

Ref was strong.

I remember two powder puff efforts when well placed. And when Clarke whipped the ball across the face of the goal he was too slow to react. He isn’t good enough and we need a better #9 to get
Promotion.

Worked hard and had a good game. He still frustrates me throwing himself over looking for free kicks and could do with improving his finishing but definitely wouldn't write him off. He is better than other back-up options we have had for a while now but I agree that we need more unless Hirst can stay fit or Akpom can step up. I also thought Akpom did well when he came on. Did the simple things well.

Clarke himself had a few powder puff efforts. Hopefully, after tonight's performance, Azon will push on. He is not the solution to taking our scoring opportunities but while he is with us he is really the only option to Hirst.

I thought he did well today. Bottled, ran his socks off.

However, for a striker, his shooting is really weak.

I'm happy with him as an option but yes we need to get someone else in.
