| Sky commentator Hinchcliffe 20:29 - Dec 29 with 2573 views | Bramidan | Anybody know why he seems to have such a down on ITFC? It was only late in the second half when he seemed to realise we had stopped Coventry playing and were by far the better team. I’ve rarely heard such bias. | | | | |

Was going to say exactly the same, very confused when their plan of how the game will pan out falls apart.

Exactly the same. Thought he was very complimentary towards us throughout the game. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Think you could probably accuse a few ITFC fans of that too. I thought the co-comms was pretty balanced and reasonable, but you never hear fans saying "I thought the commentators were biased in our favour"!
| Sky commentator Hinchcliffe on 22:15 - Dec 29 with 1385 views | Durovigutum | Yes, at the start he was saying how Coventry were the better team and were unlucky at Portman Road. By about minute 25 he changed his tune however and was far more reflective on what was happening on the pitch with his comment. | | | |

I dont think he was anti Town, certainly not in the same way Don Goodman always is. its just he was doing that typical modern football commentator thing of instantly calling a decision, they then watch the replay, and instantly completely 180s and pretends he never called it wrong first up. like I think and you can pick any of these when Azon,Kipre of Furlong got fouled, and its like "theres nothing wrong with that/Ipswich trying to win free kicks here/they should stay on their feet more" gets the slo mo replay, "that was totally a foul/Coventry were lucky not to get a booking for that". same with Clarkes goal, at first it was brilliant, by the end of match it was merely a lucky deflection the goalkeeper had no chance with, even though he then made him his man of the match, because he'd stepped up like he'd asked to him in his pre-match team assessment and scored a goal. it gets a bit frustrating after 90mins, even if he's chucking in the odd compliment our way.

I liked the bit where he was saying how Jack Clarke has not done enough for us this season at the same time that they had a graphic up saying he'd scored 7 goals in just over 900 minutes of football.

That point in your third paragraph is spot on, especially the number of times Mason Clarke barged Furlong over. Not sure how he avoided a booking purely on the number of fouls he made.

| Sky commentator Hinchcliffe on 09:00 - Dec 30 with 177 views | RIPbobby | That's the first time I've watched us on sky for a good year or so. As some know there are other means and ways to watch a match. Hinchcliffe and Goodman are normally very anti Ipswich and they sound very similar in voice. But last night hinchcliffe was fairly level in his comments. So much so he almost called Mason Clark a cheat. In all honesty we were so dominant for a large part of the game that even with bias you would eventually say well done ITFC In spite of this I won't hurry back to hear them again. | | | |
